This strategic partnership is set to unlock vast potential for Odisha and strengthen India's position as a global steel manufacturing hub. Project Highlights: Location: Mineral-rich Keonjhar district, with two potential land options earmarked by the Odisha government. Capacity: The plant will have an initial capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Focus on Sustainability: Collaboration extends to renewable energy integration, EV battery materials, and sustainable steel production. History in the Making: POSCO's second attempt to establish a steel plant in Odisha after the Paradip project, which faced challenges. This collaboration with JSW represents a renewed commitment to Odisha's industrial future.
