Loyalty has been a lot on my mind this week... It’s something we all crave, but it doesn’t come easy. Loyalty is built over time—through trust, shared experiences, and showing up when it matters most. Whether in our personal or professional lives, loyalty requires constant nurturing. It’s about investing in people, being there in good times and bad, and understanding that real relationships take effort. Recently, my organization had the privilege of placing a high-impact leader with a long-time client. It was a great moment, but it also got me thinking about how far we’ve come. It has been 13 years (my very first client when I joined Pacific) since this same client trusted me with our first project together. He's moved through multiple organizations, and each time, he entrusted me as his go to executive search partner. No matter where he went, he continued to have faith in me with his business, and we celebrated successful placements many times together. To this day, he remains not only a client, but a friend, and the fact that he's included me in every new chapter of his professional journey means more to me than I can express. What makes this special isn’t just the professional success, it’s the loyalty that we’ve built over the years and partnerships like these remind me why I do what I do. It’s not just about delivering results; it’s about the trust and loyalty that grow through years of mutual respect and commitment. Loyalty is earned and not just handed out—and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
