With that in mind, Social Finance has signed a letter from Children and Young People's Mental Health Coalition (CYPMHC) along with 58 other organisations, collectively asking that children and young people be prioritised in future policies. ABC Breakfast Interview - It is important that the community unites and sticks together in peace, love, and harmony. In the wake of the alleged terror attack on Bishop Mar Mari and the Bondi Junction tragedy the community are seeking answers. Far too often when acts of evil and violence are committed the alleged perpetrator is often known to Police. Tougher laws need to be implemented and the courts need to goal known offenders who put the community at risk. For too long people known to the police and the courts are repeatedly being given bail and given chance after chance. Politicians need to start getting real and making the tough decisions. Magistrates and Judges need to be empowered to put known offenders away for the safety of the community. The Federal Government needs to stop throwing away $$$ Billions of dollars each year in Foreign Aid and start Investing in the Health and Wellbeing of its people. It is quite obvious that there are major deficiencies in our mental health system, and homelessness rates amongst other cost of living issues that need to be urgently addressed.

Where are the homeless people supposed to go? I understand that many people feel fatigued by the homelessness issue, but we must remember that we're dealing with human beings, not stray animals. Taking away their shelters without offering any support or services to help them improve their situation is simply heartless. Solving the homeless issue in California requires a multifaceted approach that includes increasing affordable housing, expanding mental health and addiction services, and providing job training and support programs. Simply kicking them out of their encampments without addressing these needs first is not a great idea.

Poverty can create additional barriers to staying healthy and accessing health care services, including mental health treatment and lifesaving medications. Civil legal aid organizations ensure people with low incomes have access to essential health care services. They also help people solve problems that impact their overall health and well-being. Since then, everything has changed... except the funding. These funding models are now outdated and no longer provide adequate resources that organizations like Unity House need to serve people with severe mental illness. This exacerbates staffing shortages largely due to an inability to pay staff a living wage. Every day, we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us. But what happens when those who are meant to protect us, instead instill fear within us? One individual shares their story of struggling to recover from the fear instilled in them by a stranger who worked for #surreycountycouncil #EDT. For three years, they have tried to understand why the council would ignore person-led care, fail to contact the subject's carer, and even threaten forced entry into their home. Despite having capacity, a report from a GP confirming no mental ill health, and assessments that contact would be harmful, the council still failed to comply with their own policies. It's unacceptable to ignore the subject, their family, and their autonomy, leaving them living in constant fear. At what point do we stop trying? At what point do we throw in the towel? These are questions that should never have to be asked. We must hold those in power accountable for their actions and demand explanations, apologies, and change. Let's work together to ensure that no one has to live in fear instead of peace.
