Innovative and affordable tools like this support cities and citizens with data-driven decision-making, improving how government and communities work together. Generally, smart cities transport tech offers loads of potential in monitoring transport trends and evaluating infrastructure projects - with devices able to update in real-time from places people can't, in all weathers, at all times of night. Thought it was a fun one to share, especially after kick off conversations today about what we want showcase at the Smart Cities World Expo later this year.

Great to see that device already generating interesting data. I think Jack Ford only put it up a couple of weeks ago and I see it has counted 83,000 pedestrians and 26,000 bikes, both much more than the cars on the same street. Looking forward to seeing what more we can do with data like this in Leeds and West Yorkshire.
