Who you are - what you stand for - and what you believe in . . . Three simple keys to unlock countless doors . . . WHEN you know who you are and what you stand for and what you believe in so strongly and so firmly that nothing can knock you loose from that truth. It was two years ago that I discovered Fans First by Jesse Cole. From the first word to the last, I was hooked. The commitment to put Fans First - or in my case, OTHERS before self - is a game changer. It changes your choices. It changes your focus. It changes your investments - of time, money, and energy. But this morning, @yellowtuxJesse reminded me of the importance of knowing you so you are positioned to serve others. Last several years have challenged me to look beyond what others promise. I've still gotten caught off guard a time or two (including being left with a hacked checking account once and an unpaid invoice for $20,000 once), but that's when I was chasing the dollar signs and not the purpose focus. I learned. I grew. I leaned more into my YOUniqueness. Who am I? I AM a wordsmith that wields words to encourage hearts. What do I stand for? I stand for the fundamental power that comes with embracing uniqueness. NOBODY on this earth can do it the way you can do it. Know you. Lean all into your design. Change the world. What do I believe? I believe in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as the foundation for all that I do. Through that Love, I love others. Everything else falls in line with those two points. Simple. Making baseball fun and being fans first has always been our north star. This interview clip was from two years ago and nothing has changed. The key for us from Day 1 was to make sure that we are having fun every step of the way. We believe this starts from the top. From myself, Emily Cole, our leadership team and coaches, we've learned that our fun is contagious and spreads through the organization. Fun is often seen as a nice to have in the workplace. For us, it's a must have. Fun is a catalyst for everything we do. Fun drives new ideas. Fun drives innovation. Fun drives energy. Having fun and delivering fun can sometimes still be a challenge with our high standards...but every show, no matter what, you will see us dancing, singing and smiling with our fans. Our goal is to spread fun and joy to everyone we touch. I can only hope that this spreads so that everyone can find their fun.
