LeBron + DraftKings = Success --- is that the formula?
Congrats to DK on landing King James, but do we really want "NFL picks" from him?
From the article, "As a result of the multi-year deal, James will be giving his NFL picks, focusing on football only, as NBA betting is not allowed to be even discussed by players or coaches."

🏀 Have you ever wondered if the NBA will introduce a four-point line or expand the traditional three-point line? 🤔
While there have been discussions and speculations about the possibility of a four-point line in the NBA, there is no current indication that such a change will happen in the near future. The three-point line has become an integral part of the game, adding excitement and strategic elements to basketball.
Expanding the three-point line could be a more feasible option as it would require less drastic changes to the game. This adjustment could further challenge players to develop their shooting skills and provide an even higher level of competition within the league.
As the game of basketball continues to evolve, it's always interesting to consider potential rule changes that could enhance the overall fan experience and gameplay. Whether the NBA decides to introduce a four-point line or expand the three-point line, one thing is for sure – the future of the game looks promising!

I've been thinking on the coming #sportsbetting feature on NBA League Pass for a couple days while seeing plenty of push-back on concerns about the over-saturation of sports betting in the viewing experience. This comes at the same time ESPN is adding win probability to the in-game scorebug that seems like a forerunner to potentially odds being added.
One big positive for the League Pass function: it's opt-in rather than opt-out. We can't make everything opt-in when it comes to sports betting (announcers doing talking about odds or doing any related ad reads), but when it comes to tools that actively engage a user to place a bet, it absolutely has to be opt-in rather than opt-out.
I get why people are complaining about sports betting intruding in the viewing experience. I feel like people have had no problem ignoring beer ads for a long time, and while it's not entirely apples to apples, it involves plenty of similar issues.
I'm still not really sure how I feel about this. As someone who's career focuses on sports betting, I think it's a cool addition, and is a step toward keeping people in the legal market rather than searching out illegal sportsbooks. As someone who should think about addiction issues and also the user experience, it's a little concerning. For the user experience side of it, the opt-in aspect of it is a key part of it.
