Using multiple recruiters to fill a role? Hiring companies often take the view that briefing a number of recruiters on a role will increase the chances of filling it, particularly if it is urgent. This approach is unlikely to produce the best results, especially if the pool of potential candidates is small. From a candidate’s point of view, being contacted about the same role by different recruiters does not inspire confidence in the employer and their hiring process. And for recruiters, it can become a race to submit candidates before competitors do, which encourages corner cutting and doesn’t benefit anyone. Partnering with a trusted recruiter and helping them to help you has to be the best way! 🤝
