On May 9, Christopher Collins, the United States Department of Defense executive director for the Office of Developmental Test, Evaluation, and Assessment, chaired a technical panel at the 21st Annual Acquisition Research Symposium at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
The panel, “Advancements in Digital Engineering for Test and Evaluation,” included three presentations by researchers from Georgia Tech Research Institute and DOT&E, who provided the latest details on digital engineering’s advancements with testing and evaluation practices. Additionally, the Acquisition Research Symposia hosted senior defense acquisition officials, NPS faculty, and graduated students for discussions on research priorities and findings across the acquisition discipline.
Digital engineering can help the DoD outpace America’s adversaries because it helps decisionmakers make quicker, more well-formed choices while also continuously adapting and improving military systems.
