34 Years of Mind Mapping: From Scraps to Software (and Back Again?) Remember those rebellious hand-drawn mind maps thumbing your nose at the "no visuals" rule in school? Me too! That spirit fueled my 34-year journey, from sprawling college maps on giant paper to the digital organization of Mindman and MindManager in the 90s. iThoughts became my recent go-to, but its farewell in January left me softwareless. Yet, the fire of visual thinking burns bright. Now, I'm embracing a new platform, Notion, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer for managing hundreds of mind maps. Check out my 490 Ithoughts map collection https://lnkd.in/dip55nzW If anyone has any ideas as to what I could replace iThoughts with in the future when it inevitably stops working because of the way operating systems evolve please leave a recommendation below.

Every day we make a million little decisions without ever giving it a second thought. This is because our brains are wired to take shortcuts and make quick decisions. These shortcuts are known as heuristics. This week on Drive and Convert, Jon dives into heuristics in relation to digital experience optimization. When applied correctly, these heuristics can lead to a better digital journey with a smooth path to purchase for users. Check out the full episode https://hubs.la/Q02JtTV60

Building Products That Make an Impact | Writer, Researcher, Advisor | Ex-Microsoft, Twilio, BetterUp, Deloitte
Week 2 of my video series on Bridging Intention to Impact! This week I cover why the assumption that usage equate to a successful product leaves many teams astray. Instead product teams should focus on how their features are changing specific behaviors that lead to a positive impact on user outcomes. I share a news media case study that I explore in the book to illustrate the different outcomes that companies faced based on whether they focused just on usage or outcomes overall. #booklaunch #metrics #productdevelopment #product #videoseries

🔍The Art Of Product Discovery🔍 Understanding the true art of product discovery involves deeply exploring customer needs, market gaps, and innovative solutions to create products that truly resonate. Product discovery is key to successful product management. Key steps include: 👥🔍Understanding Users: Conduct interviews, surveys, and usability tests to uncover deep insights into user behaviors, pain points, and desires. 📊📌Prioritizing Pain Points: Evaluate and focus on the most impactful issues that are critical to your target audience. 💡🔬Exploring Solutions: Brainstorm potential solutions, create low-fidelity prototypes, and conduct A/B testing to quickly gauge viability. 🏅🔝Prioritizing Solutions: Use frameworks like RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort) to invest in the most effective and feasible solutions. This process reduces risks, boosts efficiency, and enhances user satisfaction.🚀 🌟For more insights, check out my latest blog post!
