Thank you USSOCOM for a great week of testing in Avon Park! KEF demonstrated numerous long range, target-finding sorties utilizing our a software-only version of Tailwind on a Blue UAS.

[#Loiteringmunitions] Thales will be able to produce several hundred short-range loitering munitions, called TOUTATIS, starting in 2025.
These munitions, designed for high-intensity operations, can operate in GNSS-denied environments and jammed communications.
In its short-range version, TOUTATIS has a range of 10 km and a total autonomy of 45 minutes. Equipped with the latest-generation warhead, TOUTATIS can neutralise light armoured vehicles, based on the ultimate human decision after their geolocation and positive identification, either by the TOUTATIS operator or using the optronic payload of an ISR drone such as the Spy'Ranger, Noctua, or Grizzly, with which it is interoperable.
In France, Thales brings together the skills and components of innovative companies in the drone warfare sector to offer sovereign short and medium-range loitering munitions that can be rapidly integrated into air-land combat systems as they are natively interoperable through the Universal Uas Management System (U²MS) Spy'C.

Considering how many UAS are flying at any given time with the amount of manned traffic in the air, it is bound to happen at some point. Glad no one was hurt and while it is not good for the UAS operator, at least we know for sure it was an UAS vs a lot of stories we hear where we think we saw an UAS.
The U.S.-made drone Switchblade 300 crashes if it loses connection. It constantly loses connection because the 2.4 + 5.8Ghz used there is not compatible with use outside the desert and with electronic warfare.
Even at the dawn of war in Europe, switchblades fell after flying over the trees.
The all-electric VAPOR 55 MX helicopter UAS features enhanced operational capabilities, including increased payload capacity, allowing users to select single or multiple payload configurations. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g9dhC8pd
Do you remember the two solutions of ENSURE? Today, you can find a kind reminder!
ENSURE Solutions
👉Solution 1: ATM – U-space interface & services🖥🧐
This solution supports an efficient and safety integration between U-space and ATM systems✈, by defining and validating the common ATM-U-space interface composed of the integration of different services. With this interface, the solution will provide outputs that will help the evolution of the current standards and regulations, allowing the coexistence between all airspace users and encouraging a significant growth of the UAS market.
👉Solution 2: Dynamic Airspace Reconfiguration
The solution develops a dynamic airspace reconfiguration service to help ATC actors in charge of airspace reconfigurations to maintain traffic segregation and to avoid proximity between manned and
unmanned aircraft within the designated #Uspace airspace.

Apparently the Air Force wants the industry to create "Self-forming aerial #networks" (see link in comments). Per the article, "U.S. Air Force researchers are asking industry to develop on-demand, self-forming, and self-healing aerial #communications#networks to provide data and voice links to high-performance combat aircraft."
Um, guys... anyone thought of contacting the Grateful Dead? Scuse me, I mean "Dead & Company". Their drone art in July was mind-blowing:
The future of air power requires the projection of strength over the horizon using a networked family of large and small unmanned aircraft in permissive and denied environments. #AFAColorado#MQ9 and its siblings are ready for the future today.
