💼 As we wrap up another Friday, I can't help but think about the concept of a 4-day workweek. Recently, I came across another fascinating article discussing how several countries have been experimenting with this concept, and the results are quite intriguing. Iceland, for instance, conducted trials that revealed increased productivity and overall well-being among employees. Similarly, New Zealand and Spain have been exploring the potential benefits, hinting at a global shift in the way we approach work. With these trials and research in mind, I am wondering if a widespread adoption of the 4-day workweek could be on the horizon? 🤔 #FourDayWorkWeek #FutureOfWork #WorkLifeBalance

Have you ever dreamed of having a longer weekend? Well, it might not be just a dream anymore! Different countries are experimenting with a 4-day work week, and Germany just joined the list. The goal is to maintain or even increase productivity while providing more time to enjoy nature and pursue other interests having become obsolete at the workplace. Imagine having a 4-day work week, followed by 3, 2, and eventually 1 day off. Sounds amazing, doesn't it? Let's hope more countries follow soon! #4dayworkweek #productivity #worklifebalance

Who wants some #SundayMotivation? I know I do. Despite ALL of the research indicating that a 4-day work week results in more productive and efficient employees, #CorporateAmerica still insists on a 5-day work week because "Those who want a 4-day work week are clearly just lazy bums who don't want to work anymore. Now get back to work. Those 3 dozen yachts I've had my eyes on won't buy themselves." - Every CEO ever You’re now ready to enjoy a relaxing Sunday and start your new work week empowered tomorrow! 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀? 🤔 Greece recently introduced a 6-day working week for certain industries to boost economic growth. Would you support this change if it affected you? During the earlier parts of my 12+ years in recruitment. I often worked 6 to 7 day work weeks even though it was not expected of me. Now, as a parent of two, although my perspective has shifted to some extent. If I had to work longer hours or weeks, I would. This may be a unpopular opinion and I believe what you put in is what you get out (especially in recruitment). What's your take on shorter or longer working weeks? Share your thoughts in the comments or send me a DM! #WorkLifeBalance #EconomicGrowth #CareerPerspectives

We need our days off to recharge and rejuvenate—physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, socially. ✨ Let's hope other countries don't follow this path! ➡️ What are your thoughts on the six-day work week? Upon the initial few experiments with 32-hours work week in Japan and few EU countries, I had an interesting debate with an entreprenour who’s family office owes several businesses accross EMEA. In light of huge unemployment rates, especially among young people, I suggested that shorter work week could be the vehicle of increasing the work inclusivity in societies by employing more people. E.g. Instead of having 1000 employees covering the 40000 hours worth of labour in 40-hours work week, it would be possible to accomodate 1250 employees in 32-hours work week. On macro level it delivers equivalent of 25% new jobs. It has it’s limitations and does not work equally well in all types of businesses, but in my view it represents tremendous opportunity for mankind, especially now when some opinion makers are forecasting dark future when less and less people will be needed, because robots and AI shall grab certain type of jobs. What is your opinion about this possibility?
I believe that the 4-day work week will become the new standard in the future. Don't forget that just 100 years ago the standard was a 6-day work week. 👇🏻 At Webpower Adria we've introduced the 4-day work week in September of 2021. And after 2,5 years working this way I can honestly say that introducing the 4-day work week was probably the best business decision during my 17-years entrepreneurial career. Benefits we have experienced: 👉🏻 Happier employees 👉🏻 Less stressed 👉🏻 More productive 👉🏻 50% less sick leave 👉🏻 Receiving 100 applications for 1 job opening, enabling us to hire the very best. 👉🏻 Since the introduction of the 4-day work week we became more competitive as employers. (Only 1 colleague has resigned ever since) And don't think we are without ambition because of a shorter work week. Webpower Adria continues to grow rapidly, with over 50% growth per year. 🚀 What do you think, will the 4-day work week become the new standard in the future? 👍🏻 Pozdrav, Jan de Jong Hvala Vinko Vuković & Slobodna Dalmacija for covering this subject. #Croatia #Webpower #4dayworkweek #LivingTheCroatianDream

On the 78th Independence Day, I had the opportunity to speak about the four-day work week culture in India. Though it has its own ups and downs for both employees and employers, I believe that if an organization can find its own way to integrate the four-day work week, where employees or a set of business units can select this option without hampering overall productivity, it will be a win-win situation for both. In the past, even a five-day work week was a dream for many, but now employees, even in industrial sectors, enjoy a five-day work week culture.

Ok so maybe it's not THAT simple, but while a hot topic around the world is the 4-day work week, there is something that you can do... Get more done when you can, knock out easy tasks first and shorten that task list, create more efficiencies and better processes, and do the things necessary to do your job (and the jobs of your employees) BETTER. Find a company that cares less about a clock and more about results. Get your work done. Communicate effectively and regularly. And if you're a little light on a Friday? Voila. Four-day work week. #work #workculture #fourdayworkweek #fourdayweek #workweek #workbetter #worksmarternotharder #worksmarter
