At KODA, honoring the gift of donation is at the core of everything we do. The impact of our mission is amplified and fulfilled by the efforts of our incredible, purpose-driven staff. For many of us, personal connections to donation and transplantation sustain the compassion and dedication we bring to the work of supporting families, coordinating recoveries, and educating our community. We’re so proud to see our colleague Andreas Price, MDiv, BCC featured last week on Spectrum News, highlighting his passion, dedication, and pursuit of making a tangible difference in the lives of others. We’re grateful for everything Andreas does to support donor families and to advocate for donation, but more than that we’re grateful to know and work alongside him—and every one of our colleagues who dedicates themselves to the mission of saving and improving lives through organ and tissue donation. Listen to Andreas share his incredible journey at https://lnkd.in/gcMt_eRa

Giving back is at the core of who we are!!
At GuidePoint Security, giving back resonates deeply within our team. In 2023, we celebrated significant milestones as two of our flagship events in the northeast reached their 10-year mark. The 10th Annual GuidePoint Security George Lang Charity Invitational was a tremendous success. Through this event, we proudly donated $115,000 to Travis Mills Foundation, supporting their invaluable work and giving back to those who have sacrificed for our country. Additionally, through our Sporting Clays Classic, we directed $10,000 toward Fight Colorectal Cancer in loving memory of our dear colleague, Angela Uriano. Angela's spirit continues to inspire us, and this donation is a testament to her enduring legacy. We're grateful to everyone who joined hands with us in these initiatives. Together, we've made a meaningful difference, and this year, we're committed to continuing our journey of giving back and making a positive impact in 2024.

Kyle's design and web development skills have been invaluable in making Post Stroke a reality. He recently designed and developed our new website which looks incredible! He has over 13 years of experience in UX/Product Design and Frontend Web Development, and it shows. He's also proficient in and passionate about web accessibility, something that's incredibly important for my organization, but should be the standard for all websites. I'm so proud of Post Stroke's new site! Check it out ⬇️ #stroke #strokerecovery #strokerehab #poststroke #nonprofit #web #webdeveloper #webdevelopment #frontenddev #frontenddevelopment #ux #ui #uxdesign #uidesign #productdesign
This past week, I carved out some time to design and build a quick new site for my wife’s nonprofit, Post Stroke. It’s very much an MVP-type project; we have a ton of ideas we’ve yet to build out. But I think it’s a solid first step and a reminder that ‘done is better than perfect’ :) Also, for those not in the know, this month is Stroke Awareness Month. Post Stroke has a ton of excellent awareness and educational content planned. They also just launched their first fundraiser. I’ll post their info below if you know anyone who might benefit from their free recovery education. Obviously, I’m biased, but I’m incredibly proud of her progress. Her work is making a real and lasting impact on the lives of many stroke survivors worldwide. The latest episode of Light in the D!
In the latest episode of Light in the D, I engage in a conversation with my friend and brother in Christ, Gary Abud, who was diagnosed with Keratoconus at age 10 - an eye disease that affects the structure of the cornea. Gary candidly shares how this disease shaped his life up to his early 20s, including his journey through college, and how a life-changing organ donation granted him sight after years of severely blurred eyesight. We delve into the profound impact this experience had on his faith and the touching story of the donor's mother, whose son's corneas gave Gary the gift of sight. We also touch on and address the controversies around organ donation. #organdonors #organtransplant #faith #healing #eyedisease https://lnkd.in/gfQa2JuG
