Is the tourism marketing space evolving too quickly for you to keep up? Recently, I came across a compelling article about the different strategies shaping the tourism marketing landscape. It resonated with my experiences as I've watched businesses adapt to changing consumer preferences, especially post-pandemic. A memorable instance was during a recent conference when I saw a local travel agency actively engaging users by customizing packages through social media polls. It highlighted how personal connection and community involvement can elevate a brand’s presence and credibility. The key takeaway from this article? Understanding your audience isn't just about data—it's about genuine engagement. It’s crucial to create experiences that resonate on a personal level. What creative strategies have you seen or implemented in tourism marketing? Let’s discuss! https://lnkd.in/g3DssSqD

Important ecosystems such as wetlands, forests, sand dunes, freshwater etc, the whole protected areas network, are under threat for us and future generations. We should not stop! We will not stop! #SaveVjosaNarta #PPNEA #DIMFE (Donors' Initiative for Mediterranean Freshwater Ecosystems) BirdLife Europe and Central Asia BirdLife International
THE HEIST OF PROTECTED AREAS Albania's natural heritage is under threat due to a recent decision regarding protected areas. The government made this decision without consulting the very communities and experts who understand better these ecosystems. It's not just about preserving nature and wildlife that may soon cease to exist! Without nature, existence itself would cease to be. "Stop the Airport" was produced by journalist Artan Rama, author of the "Elementi i Pestë" and "Sipas Natyrës" series. As we continue to lobby the government of Botswana (through the Ministry of Environment and Tourism) to support and partner to facilitate the development of the Botswana #circulareconomy action plan, it is heartening to hear the President commit the government to the #circulareconomy #transition at the ongoing High Level segment of the UN Environment Programme #unea6 https://lnkd.in/gFNyr_Qa #climateactionnow #greeneconomy #greentransformation #circulareconomy #sustainablecities #leavenoonebehind

During my recent trip to the Northern Territory, I was reminiscing about a previous trip to Uluru and one of my past reflections on data. Insights are not universal—they’re deeply personal, shaped by our unique life experiences, culture, education, and background. Leroy, our guide at Uluru, shared how First Nations Australians interpret the stars for insights like knowing when the emu's belly is full with eggs or when it’s the right time to fish. For many non-Indigenous Australians, the same stars might represent constellations or star signs. This was a powerful reminder that even when we’re presented with the same 'data,' we can see something different - we don’t all have the same insights. In our work with data, this means involving others in the conversation. Different perspectives help us pull out a broader range of insights, ensuring that the actions we take are based on well-rounded, thoughtful analysis. When we rely on collective insights, we’re not just making decisions based on one point of view that is biased—we're making better, more informed decisions together. #uluru #data #insights #datastorytelling #reflectionsondata (And yay for great leaders who become great friends and travel buddies Joanne Alford )
