In a recent interview with The Globe and Mail, IMCO’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Bert Clark, discussed the significance of signing on four new clients to our portfolio.   Following a competitive evaluation process, IMCO was selected to provide investment management services to Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA), Tarion Warranty Corporation, the City of Ottawa, and Ontario Clean Water Agency. We distinguished ourselves from competing bids by successfully demonstrating how our scale, capacity to make direct investments, and greater access to private market investing gives clients improved access to a broad range of investment opportunities, at an efficient cost.   Bert also described why the addition of these new clients is a vote of confidence for other public-sector pension plans or investment funds in Ontario to join IMCO.   “The reality is most public funds and public organizations don’t like to be first movers. Big change in broker trade shows that I noticed at the IBABC last week. Around 30 MGAs were exhibitors versus fewer than 10 carriers. A few years back this was the inverse.
