ANS Exploration Corp. recently announced the completion of a stream sediment survey in Ethiopia. This survey was carried out using a carefully planned workflow that included best-in-class preparation of the samples, portable XRF technology, and data analysis. The pXRF QAQC process, data format and management were standardised using IMDEX XRF CONNECT and HUB-IQ systems. The data was analysed using #ioGAS. By taking the time to implement a comprehensive sample-sensor-information workflow, a team can save time, streamline the decision-making and communication processes, and gain confidence in their data and the decisions made from it. It’s important to note that no single technology component of this process yields value on its own. It’s the combination of the technology system and experience that truly adds value. Galileo Resources Plc (AIM:GLR) is to start a Phase III drill programme at its 51% owned Shinganda project in Zambia. Drilling will aim to confirm near-surface copper-gold mineralisation occurs along the Shinganda Fault Splay over a strike length of potentially more than 4km. Potentially, this would be the basis for a preliminary Mineral Resource at Shinganda, Galileo added. Phase I and Phase II drill programmes indicated the presence of copper-gold mineralisation associated with major regional and more localised structures with higher copper and gold grades found at shallow depths. Evidence from two phases of drilling indicated mineralisation at grades of between 1.0 and 1.5% copper equivalent at shallow depths over notable package widths, said the statement. Tolu Minerals Ltd (ASX:TOK) managing director and CEO Iain Macpherson joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss the results from a recently completed Phase 1 Airborne Mobile Magneto Telluric (MT) survey over the Tolukuma area in Papua New Guinea. The survey identified significant copper-gold porphyry and epithermal #gold targets with the results supporting the company's exploration and development strategy, potentially accelerating the expansion of the Tolukuma mine. Preliminary findings indicate a conductivity anomaly extending over two kilometres beyond Tolukuma’s southern boundary. Additionally, advanced targets such as Belavista, Idave and Karame have been identified, with historical samples from Belavista showing high concentrations of #gold, #silver, #copper and #zinc. The porphyry system beneath Tolukuma, referred to as the ‘Tolukuma Porphyry,’ is believed to drive the region's gold mineralisation. ECOMOF: ECOWAS Mines and Hydrocarbons Forum 2024 The ECOWAS Forum on Mines and Oil (ECOMOF 2024) takes place in Cotonou, Benin, from 22 to 24 February 2024. This regional forum aims to promote the mining and oil sectors to promote the economic and social development of ECOWAS member countries. The theme of this 4th edition is “Geoextractive resources and technologies: what strategies of mutualization for the creation of added value in West Africa”. It stresses the importance of making the mining and oil sectors economic pillars, developing policies that are attractive to investors and increasing the contribution of these sectors to government revenues. The panel “Local content policies and value creation in the geo-extractive sector” was moderated by Mr. Ibrahima WANE, Technical Secretary of the CNSCL in charge of Mines marking the remarkable participation of the Ministry of Mines and Geology of Senegal audit Forum. Today I had a productive meeting with Pini Althaus, the Founder and Managing Partner of Cove Capital (USA). We discussed the company's plans for geological exploration of rare earth metals in the East Kazakhstan region. Pending positive results, the company considers to build a rare earth processing facility in Kazakhstan. According to World Bank data, there are over 5,000 unexplored deposits of rare and rare earth metals in the country, totaling more than USD 46 trillion. By 2029, Kazakhstan plans to increase mineral extraction by 40%.
