The AAIA, incorporated in 2021, currently counts 527 Fellows. Siciliano, Fellow of the scientific associations IEEE, ASME, IFAC, and winner of the Engelberger Award for Education, receives this nomination as "top scientist with outstanding achievements in the area of human-robot cooperation". Human-robot cooperation is a fundamental theme of his research, explored also thanks to numerous European projects he won at the guidance of the PRISMA Lab. Among the first projects, PHRIENDS for the development of key components of a new generation of robots designed to share the environment and interact physically. SAPHARI, for the study of all essential aspects of safe, intuitive physical interaction between humans and robots. SHERPA, a ground and aerial robotic platform to support search and rescue activities in a hostile environment such as the Alpine scenario. 🌿 Exciting Progress at Algae4IBD Project Meeting! 🌐 Elated to share the latest updates from our General Assembly meeting held at the University of Naples Federico II last Thursday and Friday (16th and 17th November). 💼 Our ENCO Engineering and Consulting srl representative Simona Mincione actively participated as the WP Leader, bringing fresh ideas for exploitation of the project results and paving the way for a dynamic and forward-looking approach in the future market landscape. 💡 We delved into discussions about our past achievements and outlined future strategies for the Algae4IBD project in the vibrant ambiance of the university's beautiful library. 📚 Key Highlights: ✨ Identified algae with anti-inflammatory and prebiotic properties through high-throughput in vitro screenings. ✨ Explored the next steps for in vivo and ex vivo tests, paving the way for groundbreaking research. ✨ Witnessed the progress made so far, fueling our determination to tackle the challenges ahead. Two research fellowships on #VehicleDynamics and #DTwin of a urban driving scenario. At Università del Salento, Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Innovazione UniSalento, we are recruting two mechanical/electrical engineers within the project #JanuSIM! #JanuSIM is a driver-in-the-loop DYNAMIC #driving_simulator to perform ride, handling, ADAS simulations with a high degree of realism. The driver/passenger will be virtually/physically immersed in a #DTwin urban complex driving and #ADAS scenario, and as such will be monitored to collect his/her #health_parameters during driving. The two positions will implement the DTwin development of the driving scenario and the wearable design/acquisition/data processing setup for bioparameter collection. 🔐 Safety: the cornerstone of autonomy Over the past few years, technical advances have had a big impact on agricultural machinery. As machines are becoming more autonomous and intelligent, the question of safety has become a centerpiece in research. This is where Agreenculture steps in, highlighting the importance of the safety in a complex agricultural environment: Alongside key partners in agricultural machinery, electronics and robotics, we are launching the PROTECH project. The key challenge of the project is to develop embedded solutions: 🖥️ HPC (high-performance computer) 👁️ Sensors 🧠 Artificial intelligence That will enable us to achieve "zero" accidents in the use of agricultural vehicles by detecting accident-prone situations. All these on-board solutions will then be tested on our robotic solutions.
