A poignant #InternationalWomensDay today. My amazing Mum, who has inspired and supported me through everything I've ever done - and Co-Founder of The Robin Cancer Trust - was recently diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. After years of campaigning to raise awareness of this exact type of cancer, you can imagine how devastating this news has been. Mum started chemo on Monday, and her attitude and outlook have continued to inspire - as soon as she was diagnosed she said she wanted to share her story to raise awareness and help others 🙏 "So, to all those ladies that have had an unusual symptom happening within their bodies, I urge you to contact your doctor immediately, whatever age you are. I cannot reiterate this enough - DO NOT HESITATE AND DON’T THINK THIS COULDN’T HAPPEN TO YOU TOO!" You can read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/ejHQBB2v If I can ask one thing of you today - please share this message - it could help save a life 🙏 #IWD24 #OvarianCancer #Cancer #Charity

One of the biggest challenges when returning to work after cancer is overcommitting/doing too much too soon and not setting boundaries or expectations. If you manage people and want to understand more about the challenges of managing work and cancer then why not book onto our free workshop next Thursday. #workingwithcancer #ovariancancer #employeewellbeing https://lnkd.in/e7jWsznM

Did you know that approximately 30% of newly diagnosed cancers in women each year are breast cancer? While breast cancer remains one of the leading cancers for women, the survival rate has improved. Especially when caught in its earliest, localized stages, the survival rate is about 98%. This is partly due to advances in early detection and treatment. By raising awareness, educating our community, and donating to breast cancer causes, we are making a difference for the over 4 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S.! 💗 Take action and inspire HOPE: https://lnkd.in/dKm4wuJu #Hopetober #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth
