Research by Morgan et al. (2009) highlights that household income has an impact on childrens’ development. Studies like these underscore the vital importance of quality child care, especially for working families and those in lower socioeconomic brackets. At Kids Co., we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, no matter their background. Our child care programs provide safe, supportive environments where children can develop the social, emotional, and cognitive skills they need to thrive in school and in life. By offering working parents peace of mind and giving their children a strong foundation, we help level the playing field so that every child can reach their full potential. You can support families who want to provide their child with a better future: donate, share, and advocate for a fully-funded child care system. The United States is grappling with a significant housing affordability crisis, especially in states like Michigan. In 2021, a record number of households spent over 30% of their income on rent, putting immense pressure on families, particularly those with children. At the same time, the scarcity and increasing costs of child care options present additional challenges for single mothers, many who work minimum-wage jobs. Hope for Single Moms is actively tackling these barriers with the support of generous donors. Having the ability to send your child to a high-quality early child care programs is paramount, especially for children in poverty who often start school at a disadvantage compared to their peers. These initiatives not only enhance children's development and well-being but also, when combined with mothers pursuing education, create a mutually beneficial outcome for women, children, and society. As the costs of housing and child care continue to rise, it is crucial for both individuals and businesses to prioritize investments in women and children. Becoming a sponsor of Hope for Single Moms or donating directly to the HSM Childcare fund or by donating to HSM's general fund and allowing us to distribute money for basic needs addresses these issues and creates opportunities for women and children where otherwise there are none. #childcarecosts #housingcrisis #career #povertyreduction

The For Baby’s Sake Trust applauds the announcement of a significant overhaul in children's social care, the largest in a generation. We are encouraged by the commitment to tackle the key challenges within the system and to prioritise the protection and support of babies, children, and families. As a charity dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic abuse and improving the outcomes for babies and their families, we greatly appreciate the investment in early intervention and the prioritisation of support for vulnerable parents. Our experience shows that creating safe and nurturing environments for babies can significantly transform their futures and prevent harm. Lauren Seager-Smith AIRL FRSA, CEO of The For Baby’s Sake Trust, stated, “This overhaul presents a crucial opportunity to ensure that every baby and child receives the best possible start in life. We must take decisive action to provide families with the necessary support, including critical intervention to break the cycle of domestic abuse. We look forward to collaborating with partners across the sector to achieve these essential goals.” We hope this marks the start of meaningful, sustained change and a brighter future for children and families across the country. In today's society, homelessness is a pervasive issue that affects countless individuals, including vulnerable pregnant women. These women face unique challenges as they navigate life without a stable home, often lacking access to basic necessities, healthcare, and support systems. Homelessness during pregnancy can have dire consequences for both the mother and the unborn child. Without access to prenatal care, these women are at a higher risk for complications and poor health outcomes. The stress and uncertainty of living on the streets can exacerbate these risks, making it crucial for communities to provide targeted support. A Taylor Haven Maternity Home will play a vital role in offering resources and a mission of love to those in need. We will provide essential services, such as medical care, counseling, parenting classes, housing assistance, and more to ensure a healthy pregnancy and the possibility of a brighter tomorrow. We must come together as a community to support these women. By offering compassion, resources, and a helping hand, we can make a significant difference in their lives and the lives of their children. Every small act of kindness can contribute to a larger impact, providing hope where it's needed most. Please donate today. www.lilmiraclesprc.org Lil Miracles P.O. In California and the United States, #FFNcare is the most common nonparental #ChildCare arrangement for young children, including #infants and #toddlers–nearly two out of every five children, ages 3 and under, are entrusted to the care of an FFN provider. 🚼 Yet FFN providers receive low or no compensation for their work. #ChildCareSubsidies are a critical way for FFNs to increase their income, but currently, many face barriers to accessing this system. Early Edge California, Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County, San Jose Public Library, and Vision y Compromiso have released a NEW policy brief exploring the barriers to subsidies and provides recommendations on how to better support FFN caregivers in obtaining them. New survey findings from Family Fund reveal that an overwhelming 94% of families feel their autistic child faces a lack of acceptance. Family Fund, the UK's largest grant-making charity for families raising disabled or seriously ill children on low incomes, empowers families to voice their experiences, driving meaningful change on important issues. Thriiver has proudly collaborated with the Family Fund since 2018. Over the years, we've supported their impactful endeavours by implementing AccessAngel to enhance their website accessibility and preinstalling Assistive Technology software and educational games to support children's education and help their development. Throughout 2020 and 2021, Thriiver's efforts positively impacted approximately 25,000 children, providing essential educational resources and engaging games to stimulate their minds during lockdown. Together, we're making a difference in the lives of families in need. #Neurodiversity #Autism #FamilyFund #TeamFamilyFund #AssistiveTechnology #Accessibility
