You can learn a lot about an employer by how they treat employees who are 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠: Employers of choice treat departing staff like contributors, brand ambassadors, and qualified leads for future roles. Mediocre employers treat departing staff like resources they aren't using anymore. Or, like they're defecting. But a poor employee experience advertises to talent: "they don't value you here" and makes retention and recruiting even harder.
