So they say hire before you're ready, right? But if you're a type A person like me, you kinda wanna get ready to hire, before you're ready to hire right? 😂 Here's what I'd say to anyone thinking of hiring a VA in the next few months... 👉 Start writing a list of things you'd like to handover to someone and not do anymore. That admin task you keep putting off? Write it down. Coming to a call with a list is so helpful as a VA can tell you what she can help you with, or what's not in her wheelhouse. 👉 Start writing down how you do things as if you were teaching someone else. Even better record a Loom explaining how it's done. Those short videos mean your VA will hit the ground running. I started doing simple Looms about things like how to upload my weekly emails to Flodesk, where to find the content, which segments to send to etc. When my Marketing assistant came on board, it made life easy for her.
