“What is inpatient therapy?”, you ask. “That’s a great question.”, I say. Inpatient therapy is not what most people expect. Do to the large amount of people served and the short amount of time a person has in acute care, most programs have to provide the best service that can impact most amount of people at one time. This means a lot of groups. “What about individual?” You ask. Another great question. People still get individual time with a therapist but not like going to an individual therapist. Most of the engagements are focused and significantly shorter due to all the tasks that therapists have to do in their day. The goal is to provide a condensed and concentrated level of care to stabilize and start you on your healing journey. You go further down this healthy path by engaging in a PHP or IOP program then to a community based therapist that you can process and reach the quality of life you are aiming for. Reach out with any questions you have. #oakwoodsprings #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #inpatientrehabhospital #inpatientmentalhealth #individualtherapy #individualcounseling #grouptherapy

Leading Healthcare with Precision & Passion | Excellence in Leadership, Strategy & Operations | Clinic Manager | Healthcare | MBA | Business Analyst | Sport & Orthopedic Physical Therapy
In the realm of healthcare, trust is the cornerstone of effective patient care. This sentiment is beautifully encapsulated in the phrase, "when I refer, I defer," uttered by a referring doctor. It speaks volumes about the relationship between healthcare professionals and the trust they place in each other's expertise. In the context of physical therapy, this statement underscores the importance of collaboration and mutual respect between referring doctors and physical therapists. It signifies that when a doctor refers a patient for physical therapy, they trust the therapist's judgment and skill, deferring to their specialized knowledge to provide the best possible care for the patient. This level of trust not only fosters seamless coordination of care but also instills confidence in patients, knowing they are in capable hands throughout their journey. #physicaltherapy #musculoskeletal

Curious to know your opinion! Can children experience medical trauma outside of the hospital setting? Of course! Then why don't we see child life specialists staffed in doctor's offices, dental offices, and outpatient labs? #medicaltrauma #childrensmentalhealth #mentalhealthishealth

"We med SLPs are running from room to room and as rural therapists are covering all areas - inpatient, outpatient, and home health care." ☝️That's what Ampcare-certified clinician Cindy Browning told us when asking for a letter of medical necessity for one of her patients. And she's NOT wrong! 🏃Medical SLPs can be seen scaling flights of stairs because elevators take too long... 🎒Or lugging bags of materials because it's "more efficient" to carry their office on their backs instead of being assigned to one... All while fighting to get their patients approved for the kind of therapy that has a direct impact on health and quality of life, but often goes overlooked. 🤝Within 24 hours of receiving Cindy's request, we delivered. "That's what I'm talking about! Thanks so much! You guys rock!!" ☝️That was Cindy's response. Medical SLPs deserve to have that kind of support EVERY...SINGLE...DAY! And so do their patients. Know that when you become Ampcare ESP-certified, you get that kind of support! The letter of medical necessity is listed on our certified users page on the website. 📲Visit https://lnkd.in/eBdbBcvW to learn more and join our community of Ampcare-certified clinicians! #medslp #dysphagia #speechlanguagepathology
