In the realm of healthcare, trust is the cornerstone of effective patient care. This sentiment is beautifully encapsulated in the phrase, "when I refer, I defer," uttered by a referring doctor. It speaks volumes about the relationship between healthcare professionals and the trust they place in each other's expertise. In the context of physical therapy, this statement underscores the importance of collaboration and mutual respect between referring doctors and physical therapists. It signifies that when a doctor refers a patient for physical therapy, they trust the therapist's judgment and skill, deferring to their specialized knowledge to provide the best possible care for the patient. This level of trust not only fosters seamless coordination of care but also instills confidence in patients, knowing they are in capable hands throughout their journey. #physicaltherapy #musculoskeletal

Use this metric to know if your patients really value your service 👇 Percent of arrivals is a GREAT indicator of whether or not a patient is valuing your physical therapy services. If you book 10 sessions for a therapist and 9 of them show, it's a 90% arrival rate. If your clinic is at a 90-95% arrival rate then you know those patients are valuing and prioritizing the service. If not, then you've got some work to do. Tony Maritato keeps a close eye on this metric. 👀 #physicaltherapy #healthcare #healthcaretechnology #occupationaltherapy
