💬 Community - More than just a few smiling faces 😊👥 Here’s the serious nitty gritty: 💪❤️ Having a social network is vital to overall health and wellbeing. 🧘♀️😊Feeling connected to a community helps the mind settle into a sense of calm and the body into a sense of safety. 💚🤗 We are calmer and safer when we have a group of people around us who genuinely care about our wellbeing. Why does this matter so much? It's more than just what we eat—it's who we are while we eat. Are we surrounded by an environment that lets us be ourselves? It's not just about "eat some spinach, kale, or turkey because it's better than chicken." Health and Wellbeing is a much bigger conversation 🌍 🌍 The Blue Zones🌍 🌍 When we look at populations around the world with the longest life expectancy, the highest number of centenarians (people over 100) and ultra-centenarians (over 110), what stands out is this: ✅ social connection and acceptance ✅ eating the right food, getting regular movement ✅ AND contributing strengths to the community The importance of connection is paramount. It’s more than just the people we surround ourselves with; it’s feeling accepted and actively contributing to the world around us. If you haven’t already…. Do These Things: 💥 ACTION steps: 1️⃣ Hop into your Shae® App - Turn your Notifications ON - Follow any prompts! 2️⃣ Watch The On Demand Video - it’s all about making the most of your culture and community! 3️⃣ ASK your Health Pro/Coach about keeping this momentum going! Imagine where you can be in another 5 days, 1 month, 1 year! Whew! We know you have great things to contribute! We’d love to see you SHINE in your community! Together, we’re building something great—one connection at a time 💪💫. #CommunityConnection #Longevity #Wellbeing #ShaeJourney #SelfAcceptance #HealthyAging #StrongerTogether #GreatRelationships

Closing up #mentalhealth awareness month with a few more daily tips. Coming in at tip #4....📵 Invest in your screenless time! My fiance, Shane Houston, and I make it a point to dedicate one night a week to no cell phone/screen distractions. We call it "screenless Tuesdays"...so at the end of every work day on Tuesdays, we leave our phones in our bedroom and don't look at them until we go to bed. 💖 It is minor, but it helps! By setting those boundaries and limiting our constant need to be "connected", we can: 1) prioritize quality time 2) be more present 3) avoid the toxicity of social media 4) be more intentional about setting our work boundaries, limit our constant need to check emails, slacks, etc. So happy #screenlesstuesday to everyone! I encourage you to try it! #mentalhealthtips #mentalhealthawarness #selfcare #worklifebalance
