Assist. prof. dr. Jana Arbeiter and prof. dr. Bostjan Udovic (both members of the Centre of International Relations – CIR at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences) published a chapter on corporate diplomacy in the Elgar Encyclopedia of Corporate Communication edited by Klement Podnar. In their text, they describe corporate diplomacy as “a plethora of activities undertaken by multinational corporations, operating abroad, in order to establish, influence and reinforce the relations with relevant business and non-business internal and external stakeholders.” They argue that the main objective of these activities is to build organisational legitimacy for businesses in environments, where minimizing organisational risks and increasing their social power are of key importance. Their contribution can be accessed here: https://lnkd.in/dW5cwpAG. The Encyclopedia is published by Edward Elgar Publishing. #Publication #CorporateDiplomacy #OrganisationalLegitimacy #MNEs #SoftPower #CIR #FDVLjubljana #
