🤝 Today is Support Professionals Day, and we are celebrating the unsung heroes in our classrooms who make our school days run as smoothly as possible, just like Tina Jones, an aide at Martinsburg South Middle School! She has dedicated nearly two decades to the success of our students. WAY TO GO! 🤝

Throwback Thursday: Boarding School vs. Day School - Which Was Better?
Looking back on our school days, the debate between boarding school and day school still sparks lively conversations! Boarding school offered immersive experiences, lifelong friendships, and a taste of independence. Day school gave us the comfort of home, local connections, and daily family support. Which did you attend, and what are your favorite memories?
Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below! Did boarding school or day school shape who you are today? Let’s reminisce together!

“My Mummy works in a school, but she's not a teacher” – my daughter, aged 7.
This got me thinking, how do I explain to my 7-and 4-year-old what I do? Answer Attempt #1: Mummy is a Storyteller.
Pretty accurate, right? One aspect of my role is having the responsibility of capturing and sharing the essence of my schools through narratives, experiences, and moments. Together with my team, we weave stories of our students, staff, and the school itself, highlighting achievements, challenges, and aspirations. And through storytelling, we bring life to the values, culture, and identity of our school, helping others to understand and connect with what makes us special. It's about painting a vivid picture of who we are and the impact we have, one story at a time.
That’s why I am incredibly proud to share the launch our Create Your Story campaign, where authenticity became the guiding principle of our brief.
Too often, we see marketing efforts focus solely on showcasing facilities, products or numbers neglecting the authentic stories that breathe life into statistics.
Our mission was clear: show, don't tell. Go take a look, let me know what you think. https://lnkd.in/ecYQUgNk#CreateYourStory#BrandStory#CreativeCampaigns#StrategicStorytelling
As Hampshire's leading academic 3-18 independent day school, we believe in more than just informing families about what our schools offer. We want to show you who we are.
We are proud to share with you our Create Your Story campaign, a collection of 70 genuine and authentic narratives that reveal the true character of our schools. Uncover the diverse passions and love of learning through stories told by those at the heart of our community: the children at Stroud, pupils at KES, and our remarkable staff.
Both King Edward's and Stroud are committed to fostering an environment where every child's journey can flourish, providing opportunities to create their own unique story.

As I take notice of the highs, the lows, and the 'in-betweens' of HALO over 2023, I recognize a theme of resilience, and that's good. We have noticed that everyone and all organizations experience distress, grief, or anxiety, yet the ones that stand out are those who cope in ways that foster growth.
(Shout out to Catholic school teachers who model resilience to their students and help them to make it one of the many advantages Catholic education can provide for their lifetime.)
At HALO we believe that being open to change creates new perspectives and that allows us to reach for more possibilities. As we move into 2024, count on HALO to build the opportunity for more kids to receive a Catholic education in and around Dallas, even when challenges keep coming. We're starting a new pilot in January to help several pilot schools try some new, shared services, so we hope you join in our efforts.
