It’s not always ‘smoke’ There is still so much confusion around smoke! Let’s quickly look at what’s being offered: Smoke Flavourings – now being phased out in Europe due to safety concerns, these are high strength fractions of condensed smoke generated from the ultra-high temperature (>600’c) pyrolysis of wood dust. Natural Flavourings – a combination of natural top note flavour compounds blended to simulate the flavour of smoke. Of the circa 260 flavour compounds found in natural smoke these natural flavourings usually contain fewer than 20 compounds. These would be better if only there were more character impact compounds available. Smoked Ingredients – a food ingredient such as paprika or salt that has been smoked in the traditional way. Typically, the smoke is generated from the slow combustion of wood at temperatures considered natural in Europe (below 400’c) PureSmoke™ Ingredients – the same as smoked food ingredients except that the smoke is filtered to remove the undesirable elements found in natural smoke. PureSmoke™ ingredients are significantly reduced in all SUM4 and SUM16 PAH’s including Benzo(a)pyrene. Yes we’re biased, but the only options above that delivers on the genuine and authentic taste of smoke is a smoked food ingredient, PureSmoke™ just makes it a safer option… It’s what we do, it’s all we do, Besmoke. #Flavour #Smoke #NaturalSmoke #PrimaryFreeSmoke #Smokeology #SmokeInnovators

Meet one of the most crucial and yet very under-rated nutrients: WATER! Not your favourite drink I daresay but it important to drink plenty of water throughout the day, at least eight large glasses if not more. Water is actually the most abundant nutrient in our bodies – two thirds of the body are made up of water, as well as no less than 85% of our brains, 75% of our muscles and 22% of our bones. It has many roles to fulfill – in digestion, detoxification, hydration and brain fitness by increasing concentration and focus. So keep a bottle of pure water handy and remember to drink it. Herb tea counts, as do fresh organic juices but beware of their sugar content. Coffee and any kind of black tea don’t count. And neither do beer, or squash, or soft drinks or energy drinks!
