🌏 Southeast Asia is turning the page on its energy future. The launch of Sustainable Asia Renewable Assets (SARA) marks a major milestone in the region's transition to renewable energy. A joint venture by British International Investment (BII), FMO - Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, and SUSI Partners, SARA is set to develop a 500 MW portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Southeast Asia. With over US$259M committed to sustainable energy infrastructure, including a foundation in Vietnam's Dam Nai wind farm, SARA’s mission is clear: ✅ Accelerate greenfield renewable energy projects ✅ Create a scalable and independent renewable energy platform ✅ Support Southeast Asia's rising energy demands sustainably 📈 Did you know? In a meeting called by the World Economic Forum in Gothenburg, Sweden on Monday, APM Terminals Chief Executive Officer, Keith Svendsen, addressed the need to ‘kick-start’ the eco-system in ports to enable the usage of renewable energy sources.     Highlighting APM Terminals’ achievement of operating on 40% renewable energy, he reiterated the company's goal of achieving 100% renewable energy by 2030 – an industry-leading goal. However, he said that achieving end to end decarbonised supply chains must be a collective effort, which “requires the entire industry to move forward together.” Read more: https://bit.ly/3XzKQpg #Decarbonisation #PortTerminals #Partnership #ZEPA
