Do YOU want to become better at closing leads in hospitality? Are you someone new to the world 🌎 of sales? Then do this…… Get REALLY good at learning how to ask good exploratory / open-ended questions. Example - don’t ask “how many people is the meeting for”? It will end up being a 1-2 word answer. Ask instead … “can you any share information about the attendees?” This will give you more than just numbers… it will give you a profile of the audience attending, which is an important aspect of the meeting. Then….. listen 👂twice as much than talking. 30-70 rule. Talk 30% of the time …. Let client tell you their story of what’s important to them (70%). Oh ….. almost forgot. Once you’ve confirmed the booking…. Under promise and OVER deliver. “I’ll have that contract draft within 48 hours” Send it within 24. Because as my favourite value Hotel Equities value states….. “Nothing happens until we sell something” 👊🏼 #hospitality #sales #hotelindustry #hospitalityindustry

Of course, as a salesperson at Mews, my goal is to introduce you to Mews. But it’s not just about making a sale — it’s about making the *right* sale. What I won’t do is push Mews when you're not ready, when I haven’t learned enough about your needs, or when you haven't learned enough about how Mews can truly benefit your business. In the past, I’ve seen end-of-month sales tactics that slashed prices by up to 50%, threw in freebies, or added last-minute discounts — all to get a deal over the line. While that may drive quick wins, it doesn't foster lasting partnerships. What I love about Mews is that everyone is aligned. We’re not driven by closing deals at any cost but by truly understanding our customers’ needs. Sure, we have goals, but they're grounded in creating value and delivering solutions that fit. As I meet with hoteliers in beautiful Colorado, I’m reminded of the importance of genuine connections and meaningful conversations that lead to real partnerships. And who knows — you might even get some cookies along the way. 🍪 I truly believe we’re the best PMS (and HotelTechReport.com thinks so too!). But you don’t know what you don’t know — so let’s start by getting to know each other! #Sales #HospitalityTech #HotelTechnology #Mews #HospitalityIndustry #PMS #HotelSales #CustomerExperience #SalesStrategy #BusinessRelationships #HospitalitySales #ColoradoBusiness #Networking #HotelierLife #Partnerships #TravelTech

non-traditional Revenue Manager & Consultant for Independent Hotels and Hotel Groups
5moEver since I first learned about upselling, I am a huge fan. And I am each time surprised when hotels are not doing it. Upselling is literally like having a printing press for money 😉
