I am so excited to announce that from September 2023 to January 2024, I had the privilege of completing a Content Creation Internship with Swipe & Scroll, a next-gen digital marketing agency! Through this experience, I contributed to the social media strategy for Novikov Miami, an upscale Asian restaurant in Downtown Miami. During this experience, I focused on capturing real-time content for Novikov’s Instagram (currently at 51.5k followers). My role included: shooting content during peak service hours, collaborating with editors to create engaging posts for social media, and developing content strategies tailored to our target audience. Some key takeaways I took from this experience were : ~ Understanding Target Audience: This experience increased my ability to analyze and interpret audience preferences and behaviors. By closely observing Novikov’s clientele and their interactions with the content, I gained insights into what resonates with different segments of their audience. This understanding allowed me to tailor content that not only engages but also drives interaction. ~ Content Strategy Development: I learned how to develop and implement effective content strategies that align with a brand's goals. I gained experience in strategizing content themes, scheduling posts, and analyzing performance to continuously refine and optimize the content plan. ~ Creative Skills: This experience sharpened my creative skills. I learned how to capture compelling visuals and tell a story through imagery that fit the upscale and dynamic environment of Novikov. ~ Social Media Management & Branding: I gained hands-on experience in managing a brand’s social media presence, specifically Instagram. This included understanding the nuances of brand positioning, creating visually appealing posts, and maintaining consistency with Novikov’s brand image. ~ Collaboration & Communication: Working closely with a team of editors and other marketing professionals taught me the importance of clear communication and effective collaboration. I learned how to convey creative ideas and work together to achieve common goals. This experience highlighted the value of teamwork in delivering high-quality marketing content. ~ Time Management: Balancing the demands of shooting content during busy hours and meeting deadlines for content delivery sharpened my time management skills. I learned to prioritize tasks, manage my schedule efficiently, and adapt to the fast-paced environment of a high-profile restaurant. This internship provided me with real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and a clearer sense of direction in my marketing career. Miami’s vibrant business landscape gave me insight into the latest trends, positioning me for future success in the marketing industry. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity and excited for what is to come! #Marketing #ContentCreation #SocialMedia #Internship #CareerGrowth

So you want to be a social media manager? Here’s 4 quick tips for securing an interview at a social media agency. 1. Get some experience! Do some internships (we have a great 12 week program on offer and we’d love to have you. I’ll pop a link in the first comment.) But just learn and create. Shoot a shopping haul, unboxing video, recipe, work-out, aesthetic lifestyle video, post it to your personal IG or TikTok or create a new account. Get creating and show us that you have both the initiative, and platform understanding that it takes to work with brands. 2. Put together a digital portfolio and well designed resume. Canva is an incredible resource that allows you to create professional, well designed documents with ease, so please - no more word docs please! 3. No typos in your application! We’ll spot them a mile away, and when it comes to social media management, attention to detail in KEY. 4. Think outside the box. At Melbourne Social Co, we get 10-20 job applications a day, even when we’re not hiring. (And when we are, it’s in the 100s.) If you’re serious about a career in such an in-demand industry, you need to think creatively about what will make you stand out from the crowd. Maybe you’ll shoot a video, maybe you’ll do a deep dive on the agency and spot a gap that you can fill that nobody else can, maybe you’ll share a mocked-up campaign concept - the sky’s the limit. If you’re an aspiring social media manager and have any questions around gaining experience or how to make your application stand out, let me know below - I’d love to help where I can.

Scaling Brands through 3C's: Content, Community, Conversion | All Things Creative & Strategy @ AdVerb | Getting 10x Engagements | Open for Strategy Sessions
I am a Social Media Manager, and I do everything!! In my early years of working as an intern, I realized that it's important to bring a range of skills to the table. I adopted a "Jack of All Trades" mindset and this has benefited all the places I have worked at or collaborated with. What did I do? My role wasn't just account management, it was more. It's an intricate dance of trends, engagement, scheduling, and, most importantly, impactful content creation and curation! 🔍 Checking Trends: Monitoring trends regularly ensures that your content stays relevant and resonates with your audience. Nobody likes stale content, just like stale food. 👥 Engaging with Accounts: Social media is a two-way street. Building a community around your brand is essential. Responding to comments, messages, and actively participating in conversations help build meaningful connections. 📅 Posting and Scheduling: Timing is everything. A well-planned content calendar and strategic scheduling ensure that your audience receives your content when most receptive. Consistency is key to keeping your audience engaged and using tools to automate and monitor teamwork as well. 🛠️ Optimizing the Profile: Your social media profile is your digital storefront. Regularly updating and optimizing your profile while aligning it with your brand's evolving narrative is crucial for making a lasting impression. 🔄 Cross-Posting: Amplifying your message requires creating tailored content for each channel while maintaining a consistent brand voice. 🎨 Creating and Curating Content: Content is the heart of social media. Shooting, editing, scripting and whatnot. To succeed in social media, you must adapt, innovate, and deliver engaging content that builds connections. It's not just about managing accounts, but creating experiences and stories that resonate with your audience. __________ #socialmediamanagement #smm #contentcreationstrategy #digitalmarketingservices #engagementstrategies #brandbuilding #socialmediamarketing #socialmedia

https://lnkd.in/gwSi58Mz —> ⭐️my portfolio ⭐️ After completing my internship with Power Move Marketing, I decided to make a creative portfolio of all the work I've done in the past few months. I've learned so much. As a marketing social media intern, I learned a variety of valuable skills essential for a career in marketing. I learned how to create engaging content, from posts to videos and graphics, tailored to different platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I became proficient in managing social media accounts, scheduling posts, and monitoring engagement using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer. Through this, I developed skills in audience engagement by interacting with followers, responding to comments, and building an online community. I learned to analyze social media metrics, track performance, and use insights to improve future strategies. Planning and executing social media campaigns helped me understand goal setting, targeting the right audience, and maintaining a consistent brand voice. My copywriting skills improved as I wrote attention-grabbing captions, and I stayed up-to-date with trends to capitalize on viral content. Working with teams across departments taught me the importance of collaboration, and by observing customer interactions, I gained insights into consumer behavior that could inform future marketing efforts. These skills were invaluable in building a strong foundation in digital marketing.
