Australian resource company Surefire Resources NL (ASX:SRN) is going in with the drills again at the Phat Boy prospect, part of the company’s 100%-owned Yidby East Project in the mid-west of Western Australia. The exploration will follow up on highly anomalous #copper and #zinc revealed in recent assays. Previous exploration in the area has been focused on gold, but has not to date tested broad copper-zinc anomalism that points to the presence of other mineralisation styles in the area. The company uncovered the anomalous results from broad spaced soil grid sampling to the east of its main Yidby gold project. Four coincident copper and zinc anomalous zones were delineated along the margin of an inferred shear zone adjacent to an outcropping folded banded iron formation. Aruma Resources Ltd (ASX:AAJ) has found multiple zones of high-grade ionic clay #RareEarthElements (REEs) at its Salmon Gums Project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, including the highest grade REE result in the area to date. The Salmon Gums Project consists of three exploration licences covering a total area of 360 square kilometres, some 200 kilometres south of Kalgoorlie. This area is fertile terrain not only for REE prospectivity but also offers potential for gold and lithium. The company’s surface sampling activities delivered the record REE result of 8,700 parts per million (ppm) total rare earth oxides (TREO) with high-value #neodymium and #praseodymium (NdPr) oxides constituting 22.5% of the TREO grade. Forrestania Resources Ltd (ASX:FRS) has enhanced the #goldpotential of its #EasternGoldfields’ Bonnie Vale project area (E15/1632) with rock chip samples grading up to 2.7 g/t and historic drilling results up to 14 g/t. Silver Mines Ltd (ASX:SVL, OTC:SLVMF) is about to go in with the drills at the high-priority Bara Creek prospect, seven kilometres north of the company’s Bowdens Silver Project near Mudgee in Central West New South Wales. This will be the first drilling program at Bara Creek, a prospect that has shown significant potential for high-sulphidation epithermal mineralisation. The Bara Creek prospect was first identified in 1989 by CRA Exploration after stream sediment sampling returned anomalous gold, arsenic, silver, copper and antimony values. Despite the early identification of mineralisation, the prospect was subject to minimal exploration activity and there has been no prior drilling. In 2023, Silver Mines initiated a major fieldwork program, including geological mapping, geochemical surveying and ground-based gravity surveys. Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM) is preparing to set the drills turning on an exploration program at the Remorse #Copper Target within its Yalgoo Project in Western Australia. Preliminary approval is in for drilling at the central area of the 4-kilometre-long base metal and geophysical target. TEM’s ground-truthing work has prompted it to expand the program design to around 5,000 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling with approvals for this in the final stages and work should start in June or July. The Yalgoo Project spans more than 1,000 square kilometres of highly prospective tenements for base and precious metals, and TEM’s recent exploration efforts have put the company on the scent of new mineralisation. TEM has prioritised the Remorse and Sanity targets, with the Remorse site previously revealing significant copper and #zinc anomalies and an overlapping geophysical anomaly. American Rare Earths Limited (ASX:ARR, OTCQB:ARRNF) has generated soil sampling results of up to 6,221 parts per million (ppm) total rare earth oxide (TREO) from the Cowboy State Mine area of the Halleck Creek Rare Earth Element (REE) project in Wyoming, US. Samples represent the potential for high-grade REE mineralisation with a TREO content 64% higher than that considered in current mine planning and a recent scoping study (3,805 ppm TREO), offering an opportunity for a larger, higher-grade REE deposit close to those already established by the company. The newly identified mineralised zone has high potential to add to the recently upgraded mineral resource for the project, which sits at 2.34 billion tonnes at 3,196 ppm TREO at a 1,000 ppm TREO cut-off. Noble Completes Drill Program on the Kidd2/Carnegie Project Near Timmins, Ontario ⛏️ HIGHLIGHTS - Noble Mineral, in a joint venture with 11530313 Canada Inc., completed the drill program with the help of a $200,000 Ontario Junior Exploration Program grant. - Research by Noble staff identified several targets for the drill program. - The Kidd2/Carnegie project is devoted to finding an extension of the Kidd Creek deposit. - The program was a technical success because it identified the geological horizon that hosts the Kidd Creek mineralization and encountered massive sulphides.
