Our Head of IT sums things up exactly on a behind-the-scenes look into our business 👏 What has surprised you about Petalite? The strength of Petalite’s offering. Its super easy to judge a book by a cover, so it’s easy to dismiss Petalite as a scale-up with none of the fancier bells and whistles you can see at more mature organisations. With all the mis-information around EV viability, it’d be easy to pass on Petalite. This however isn’t reflective of what I’ve learnt of what Petalite is doing in the industry. Backed not only by investors who believe in the journey but scientifically validated, patented and award winning – it’s exciting to see the working solution come from the lofty claims. Petalite
We interviewed Head of IT Mario D. to learn about his journey at Petalite after joining 6 months ago... Empowering businesses to scale and succeed, by connecting them with top-tier sales professionals, who drive revenue growth and exceed targets.
I called a candidate to see how their interview had gone. They mentioned a question they were asked, 'if you could be any animal, what animal would you be?' It made me think about what answer I would give, which takes me back to a time when I struck up conversation with a DJ in Melbourne.... A GOOSE. Geese have so many qualities that go under the radar, but they really are the ultimate team working guru's. 1. Geese Fly Together: Flying in a V formation helps geese conserve energy and fly further together. Similarly, teams reach goals more efficiently when they work together, leveraging each other's strengths. 2. Support in Tough Times: Geese support injured members until they can fly again. Likewise, teams should rally around struggling members, offering support and assistance until they're back on track. 3. Shared Leadership: Geese take turns leading to avoid fatigue. In effective teams, everyone should have the chance to lead, ensuring diverse contributions and shared responsibility. 4. Encouragement and Communication: Geese honk to encourage each other during flight. Similarly, regular communication and celebration of progress within teams foster engagement and success. 5. Loyalty to Purpose: Geese maintain their migration route to protect the flock. Teams benefit from a shared purpose, with members learning from each other to uphold goals consistently. For those of you wondering where the DJ in Melbourne part came from... his stage name was Latin for working together, paired with a tattoo of a flock of geese on his arm. The story of Geese supporting each other was his inspiration!
