No reasonable person denies sexual assault happens in the military, just as it does in the civilian world, and is deadly serious. Moreover, the stigma around being raped has slowly faded, allowing victims to better come forward and be taken more seriously. That said, this has led, at least somewhat, to a growing new problem. False rape accusations happen. Whether they are malicious or due to a genuine misunderstanding of the law, some people accuse people of crimes they did not commit. These accusations can be hard to combat, in this episode of 'TELL IT LIKE IT IS' Military INJUSTICE (OATH & HONOR), we’ll explore how wrongful convictions happen. Then we’ll discuss how wrongful convictions in the military can be avoided. Israel’s drones, surveillance technology — including spyware, facial recognition software and biometric gathering infrastructure — along with smart fences, experimental bombs and AI-controlled machine guns, are tried out on the captive population in Gaza, often with lethal results. These weapons and technologies are then certified as “battle tested” and sold around the world.
