Stop applying for 100’s of jobs per day 😑 Yes! Its been a tough time and you might have lost your job Instead of simply applying for everything that you find. Follow this simple process : - Open Google Sheets - Make a list of openings that you see is a broad fit - Rate them out of 10 based on your expertise and JD match - Find 5 people who could possibly refer you ( leverage LinkedIn ) and get yourself referred - Couldn’t get anyone to refer you? - Go to Hunter .io, find the email of someone senior to that role but it same field/ HR - Write a cold email with a nice cover explaining why you are fit ( be precise and short - dont be needy ) - Repeat the same for 2-5 roles per day. That's it! This is exactly what I would do if I was you. Apply for 1000’s of the job isn’t going to help. There are 1000’s of people doing exactly what you are doing. You need to standout think different. Btw, you will get a job, if not immediately. Definitely! Thoughts? Feel free to copy-paste. If you need a job then we can discuss.

Anecdotal Evidence About Ads from our clients and candidates, but still true: 1. LinkedIn Ads/Indeed Ads / ZipRecruiter Ads helped hiring managers fill 50% of their roles. 2. LinkedIn Ads/Indeed Ads / ZipRecruiter Ads helped 3% to 5% of candidates with whom we talk. Ads do not help job seekers. Most of the time, their application goes into a black hole. That is why, they need to do 10-50 applications a day to move the needle and get interviews. What we recommend is yes, apply to roles, but not to Remote jobs (See past videos on why not), but also go to networking events, leverage your network on Linkedin on 2nd Degree and 3rd Degree Connections, and send Inmails to Hiring Managers. For Hiring Managers, we recommend they use our search service (duh). We actually build relationships with candidates and recruit them to join your firm. There is more loyalty and our success rate is many times that of these ads. Remember Hiring Managers: if candidates apply to your role, then they are also applying to 50-100 other roles (or more) so they have no loyalty to you and will reject your offer for anything and everything.

Tip 2/5 - simple ways to stand out when applying for jobs. Follow up with the hiring manager or recruiter It’s such a simple step, but 99% of applicants never follow up after submitting their application. I receive a few follow-up messages every now and then, but considering the hundreds of applications we get for each role, it’s still a tiny fraction. If it's not obvious who the hiring manager is, use LinkedIn Search and have a guess - drop them a connection request or a message. Why does this matter? Reaching out can be a great way to grab the recruiter’s or hiring manager’s attention, especially since it can take time from them to go through all the applications. When you follow up, make it count. Use this opportunity to explain exactly why you’re a great fit for the position: - Be specific: Don’t just say you have experience with a skill—mention the projects where you applied that skill and how it’s relevant to the role. - Add value: Showcase how your background aligns with the company’s needs and what you can bring to the table. This simple step can help you stand out in a sea of applicants. Hope this tip helps, tomorrow look out for tip 3! #hiring #jobsearch #recruiting

Amidst all the job search advice articles out there, I think this is a tip that I haven't seen before. As a marketer, it makes so much sense. I don't think it would make a huge difference, but it can't hurt. And you should be researching that stuff about the companies you're applying to anyway.
✨ Job Application Pro Tip ✨ You know that “Thank you for applying” email you get after submitting your application? Don’t just glance over it and move on! If it includes links to their culture page or what life is like at the company—click them. Sure, we all do our own research (I know I do), but here’s the thing: many companies use tracking tools to see if applicants engage with their follow-up emails. Clicking those links could subtly show recruiters that you’re genuinely interested in their company—not just the job. Think of it like a marketing funnel: your application gets their attention, and your engagement builds the connection. It’s one small step that could help set you apart. What do you think? Have you noticed similar strategies in recruiting processes? Let’s discuss! 👇 #JobSearchTips #CareerAdvice

#LinkedIn #JobPost #Recruitment #EmailNotifications Hey everyone! 😊 I’ve been utilizing LinkedIn for hiring at our company for about two years now, and it's been a pretty smooth process. Usually, whenever a new applicant submitted their resume, I’d get an email to my business inbox with all their details. 📄✉️ However, I’ve noticed a glaring issue: during my last two hiring campaigns, I didn’t receive a single email notification for new applicants. I double-checked my settings and confirmed that my email is correct, so I'm at a bit of a loss. 🤔 I’d love to know if anyone else has faced this problem with LinkedIn. Did they possibly remove the email notifications for applicants on job posts? Here are some thoughts on why this could be happening: Email Settings: Sometimes a simple tweak in the email settings can cause notifications to go awry. Platform Updates: LinkedIn frequently updates their platform, which might change features or notification settings without notice. Spam Filt... If you're looking for a job (and who isn't at one time or another), here are some great tips for tailoring your resume to a specific opportunity and making it past the initial screening of an ATS (Applicant Tracking System). Some other questions that came to me: How long should your resume be? It depends on your experience, but usually no more than two pages. Is it acceptable to omit irrelevant experience? Yes, you want to focus on the experience that makes you a great candidate for the current opportunity. Best of luck, everyone.
