Connecting Freight Agents to the best Agent experience in Logistics ✨ 2021 Top Woman To Watch In Transportation - Continuous Improvement Fanatic
What is the #1 way a Freight Agent can stay consistent....no matter what "the market" is doing? 🚚 🚚 VOLUME 🚚 🚚 Keeping a focus on building load volume/market share is a great way to be secure in your Freight Agency. Whether rates are up or down, keeping a mindset on maintaining and building volume: 👉 Makes you important to your customer. The more of their shipments you arrange, the more important you are to their overall freight plan. 👉 Allows you to be flexible. If rates are up, great - you can build your team and resources. If they are down, you still have the volume to keep your finances secure. 👉 Helps you build a solid carrier network. By having high volumes of freight, you can build relationships with dedicated carriers. And as the market turns, you have the ability to keep those carriers moving! Increasing volume is a strategy that you hear about a lot when rates are down..but I think that if you keep that mindset all of the time, you won't be as affected by market turns. What do you think?

Hard truth for freight brokerages: High commissions & "low agent saturation" won’t recruit great agents. You need to: - Show real proof w/ testimonials & success stories. - Make and keep your promises of providing the best support. - Create customized & clear plans to map out their journey to success. STOP focusing on only commissions & "low agent saturation". START building trust with proof, a kept promise, and a clean plan for success. #freightbroker #logistics #supplychain #freightbrokerage

Shipping customers are looking for freight brokers that are PROACTIVE! [See question at bottom of post 👀} Pro·ac·tive means: ➡️ Creating or controlling a situation by causing something to happen rather than responding to it after it has happened. In other words... "Being proactive is identifying and preventing potential problems" NOT reacting to them! 🤔 Most freight broker and freight agents are reactionary. Something goes wrong, they fly off the handle and yell and scream at everyone within their reach. More than 1/2 of the problems in logistics and trucking can be prevented. 1) Understanding where problems frequently occur based upon your niche/freight type. ie. experience and training. 2) Having the ability to communicate the issue and solution without emotion and without losing your cool. Good brokers can predict problems! 🪄🧠 Problems with with carriers, drivers, pickup locations, delivery locations, weather, vehicles, technology and more. 👇 🤔 👇 🤔 👇 🤔 👇 🤔 What is your best advice for being PROACTIVE to prevent issues before they happen???

Most freight brokers would agree that having a customer with a high freight spend can be a dream come true. But what do you do when you land that account? Do you turn into an order zombie responding to quotes all day and letting your support staff book your trucks and manage updates? I personally love to figure out what goals a shipper has for their freight spend to see if I can find creative ways to align my goals with theirs. This makes it a lot easier to find the right carrier for the job AND allows you to create clear expectations for all parties.

As a freight broker, clear and effective communication is essential to building strong relationships with carriers, shippers, and other stakeholders in the logistics industry. Whether you are negotiating rates, arranging shipments, or providing updates on delivery status, it's important to communicate clearly and promptly with all parties involved. One way to ensure effective communication is to establish clear expectations up front. This means setting expectations around response times, availability, and the types of information that will be communicated. By establishing these expectations early on, you can avoid misunderstandings and ensure that everyone is on the same page. In addition to clear communication, it's also important to respond promptly to inquiries and always follow through on your commitments. This means responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner, providing accurate and detailed information when requested, and taking ownership of any issues or challenges that arise. By responding promptly and following through on commitments, you demonstrate your reliability and professionalism to clients and partners. This can go a long way in building trust and confidence in your services, leading to repeat business and referrals. Of course, effective communication and follow-through require a high level of organization and attention to detail. By utilizing tools and systems that help you manage your workflow and stay on top of deadlines, you can ensure that you are providing the highest level of service possible. INQUIRE NOW! Starting out as a freight broker agent can be challenging. Here are 3 of the biggest struggles that one can face… 1. **Building a Client Base**: Establishing relationships with shippers and carriers is crucial. Without a network, it can be hard to secure loads and build trust. 2. **Understanding the Industry**: The freight industry is complex, with numerous regulations, documentation requirements, and logistics intricacies. New agents often need time to learn the ropes. 3. **Competition**: The freight brokerage market is highly competitive, with many established players. New agents have to differentiate themselves to attract business. By focusing on building relationships, gaining industry knowledge, and using effective tools, new freight broker agents can overcome these challenges over time.

Cheap service seekers! Watch this and I hope you will change your mind. There is nothing cheaper than expensive! 😎 You can always find more and more cheap providers, but you can get to someone who will f*ck off your freight, will fraud it or at least double broker or lie. Frauders don’t need expensive freight, they just need freight that someone will look to cheap providers and will give it frauders (Without nowing that). Superb freight brokers in my network ,Agree?
