The state-owned energy suppliers MVM from Hungary and SRBIJAGAS from Serbia have negotiated additional natural gas supplies with representatives of Russia's Gazprom at the Gas Forum in St. Petersburg. MVM and Gazprom signed an agreement on the continuation of their energy co-operation at the forum. The intention to increase gas supplies was also declared. To date, Hungary has received around 4.5 billion cubic metres of Russian gas per year under the 15-year contract signed in 2021.
