Top 5 Countries Investing the Most in AI. #AI investment is ramping up quickly around the world, with global investment projected to reach almost $200 billion by 2025. But which countries are leading the way? Here are the top 5 based on total investment over the past 5 years: 1. United States - $328.5 billion The U.S. is the clear AI investment leader, spending over $328 billion in the last 5 years. U.S. AI investment is expected to continue dominating, accounting for over half of global investment at $47.4 #billion in 2022. Projections show U.S. AI investment reaching $817 billion by 2025. 2. China - $132,665 million #China has invested around $132.7 billion in AI over the last 5 years, putting it in second place. China's AI #investment is forecast to grow from $20.6 billion in 2022 to $35.6 billion by 2025. 3. United Kingdom - $25,541 million The #UK has invested $25.5 billion in AI over the past 5 years, good for third most globally. 4. India - $16,147 million #India has invested $16.1 billion in AI over the last 5 years, making it the 4th biggest AI investor. 5. Canada - $12,457 million Rounding out the top 5 is #Canada, which has invested $12.5 billion in AI over the past 5 years. While the #US and #China lead in total dollars invested, some smaller countries have invested more as a percentage of #GDP. For example, #Singapore has invested $15.01 per $1,000 of GDP, the highest ratio globally. The rapid growth in AI investment is being driven by the huge potential economic impact. Generative AI alone could boost global labor productivity by over 1% annually once widely adopted. Over the longer-term, AI investment could peak at 2.5-4% of GDP in the U.S. and 1.5-2.5% in other major AI leaders. The race is on to lead in this transformative technology.
