Why I found EHS is a very interesting & responsible profession. 1. Without being a doctor, we treat first aid injuries. 2. Without being a technical engineer, we do/advice multiple engineering. Without being an artist we perform every morning show which is called tool box talk meeting / Training. 5. Without being a writer, we write a poem and draw posters. 6. Without being a social worker, we do social work. (like to arrange welfare facilities) 7. The main thing is we give a best covered to all departments science, environment, commercial, Human Resource, administration, arts and management. 8. Don't you think the Office of Health, Safety, and Environment in the Engineering Industry is becoming like the Office of Nurses in the Health Industry, where individuals badge into the field because of unemployment and think it is a fast way of finding a job and making money? Why? Because they find it to be an easy profession where you attend training for 1 month, whether online or face-to-face, and after the one month of training, you are a safety officer by certificate, with no experience or passion. Some even arrive on site with an air of arrogance. We've seen safety officers who are afraid of heights, have poor human relations, and don't take the time to listen to technicians, thinking safety is just about what they learned in class. To work safely is not only about the control measures in place, the training you give your workforce, or the fear you instill in workers. Please, to the safety officers, we do the JSA together, but we are the ones on the task, so please listen to us sometimes because some hazards can be seen only by the one on the task. Remember, the workforce can be safe but not work safely because to work safely is a conscious effort with discipline since it is a personal responsibility. Please, let's elevate the safety profession to a higher level, recognizing the significance of protecting human life, property, and the environment. It's time to take a more disciplined and responsible approach to safety. #HUMBLEweld🧑🏭❤️🔥

As a safety professional, it is disheartening to see people claim they know about safety but not following proper procedures when it comes to their work. Safety is not just about knowledge; it is about actively implementing precautions to prevent accidents and incidents. I urge everyone to stop just saying they know about safety and start actively practicing it in their daily work routine. Safety is everyone's responsibility, and it is crucial to prioritize it at all times. Let's make a commitment to prioritize safety in all our actions and create a safe work environment together. #safetyfirst #workplacesafety #commitmenttosafety.

Why should you Die, when you could avoid it all together? In my years of experience as a safety officer A primary reason for accidents is that workers don't expect it to happen. There is this idea; "Nothing will happen. I have been doing this for a long time. Accident cannot happen to me". Sorry, accident can happen to anyone. Sometimes when it does, people don't live to tell the story. It is called accident because it isn't planned. As such, since we don't plan it, we must plan to prevent it. That is what we do in occupational safety; we plan and execute measures to prevent what is not planned (accident).

Speaking to all safety professionals out there, what have you found is the most effective approach when observing poor safety-related behaviour on worksites? 😡 Do you find that a stern, no-nonsense approach yields a subsequently better performance of the workers? 🤔 Is, perhaps, the required approach completely circumstantial on the level of severity of what is observed? 🤝 Or is it generally the case that you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar, and a more lenient, educational approach achieves that allegiance with the workers, and thus the worker buy-in that is crucial to establish future co-operation and conformance?
