#GetYourShots Regular vaccinations for flu, pneumonia, and other preventable diseases are more important than ever. Why should you get vaccinated? We could list countless reasons, but the most compelling one is to protect yourself and the ones you love. When you stay healthy, you're not just safeguarding your own well-being; you're also contributing to the safety and health of your community. Think about the “why” that matters most to you. Is it to keep your kids safe? To ensure your elderly relatives stay healthy? Or maybe it's to avoid missing work or social events because of illness. Whatever your reason, it's valid and important. Don't wait until it's too late. Contact your local ARH pharmacy or clinic to learn more about the vaccinations available to you. Let's fight flu season together and keep our communities strong and healthy. #fluseason #fighttheflu #getthevax #healthyliving #communityfirst #vaccinessavelives #stayhealthy #ARHcares

There's nothing we can do to slow the spread of AMR? This is not true, you can actively contribute to the fight against antimicrobial resistance. Taking antimicrobial drugs as prescribed, practicing proper hand hygiene, and staying up-to-date on vaccinations significantly aid in slowing the spread of AMR.¹ This #WorldAntimicrobialAwarenessWeek, let's shoulder our responsibility and be part of the solution. Together, our efforts can make a meaningful difference. 💪 #WAAW2023 #AMR #BreakthroughsThatChangePatientsLives Reference: 1. Jansen KU, Anderson AS. Hum Vaccin Immunother 2018;14:2142-2149. #KEY #POINTS of #Shingles #Vaccine ( #Available at #HealthHub #Clinics) 1- Shingles vaccination is the only way to protect yourself against this painful disease. 2- Vaccination is over 90% effective at preventing shingles and postherpetic neuralgia in adults 50 years and older with healthy immune systems. 3- Adults 19 years and older who have weakened immune systems are at higher risk of complications and should also vaccinated. 😊 Who #should get vaccinated Adults 50 years and older should get vaccinated. There is no maximum age for getting Shingrix. You should also get Shingrix even if in the past you: Had shingles Received ZostavaxA Received varicella (chickenpox) vaccine If you had shingles in the past, Shingrix can help prevent future occurrences of the disease. There is no specific length of time that you need to wait after having shingles before you can receive Shingrix. Generally, make sure the shingles rash has gone away before getting vaccinated. Chickenpox and shingles are related because they are caused by the same virus (varicella-zoster virus). After a person recovers from chickenpox, the virus stays dormant (inactive) in the body. It can reactivate years later and cause shingles. You can get Shingrix whether or not you remember having had chickenpox in the past. #Who #shouldn't get vaccinated You should not get Shingrix if you: Have ever had a severe allergic reaction to any component of the vaccine or after a dose of Shingrix. Currently have shingles. Currently are pregnant. You should wait to get Shingrix.
