Adria shares in this video how lighting science can have a significant impact on our well-being. In the field of lighting, it is common to think that a warmer light has less blue light than a cooler one, even if both have the same intensity. However, research conducted by our scientific advisors has revealed fascinating findings about circadian metrics and LEDs. 🔬 What did they do? They analysed spectral data from over 1,700 commercial white LEDs to investigate correlations between colourimetric and circadian parameters. 🧐 What did they find? The higher the colour rendering index (CRI) of an LED with the same colour temperature, the higher the circadian metric values. 💡 A practical alternative: In office applications, it is recommended to opt for high CRI LEDs at 4000K instead of the standard CRI 5000K ones.
