What do Cows & the Marines have in common ? Learn more here
NPR Radio Podcast - Cows and the Marines Last month we successfully completed the first regenerative grazing project for the Navy/Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona. This project is part of the natured-based solutions seek by the US military to make their bases more resilient against droughts, desertification, increase wildfires, dust & flooding while creating an inviting habitat for wildlife. We appreciate the support we got from Deborah Loomis, Jayne Aaron and the Marines personnel to make this project happen.

World War II was a rallying cry for the country. The history of heroic deeds and world-changing battles has been studied extensively and cataloged in museums, history textbooks and family homes across the United States. However, one lasting result of the war that might not be as well known is its impact on the dry cleaning industry and our environment. The availability of TCE, a popular dry cleaning chemical during the 1930s and 40s, diminished during the war, leading cleaners to switch to something more readily available. The unintended consequences of this switch linger in the ground to this day, causing health and safety concerns across the country. Learn all about the history of dry cleaning, vapor intrusion and how the DNR is leading the way in minimizing these environmental risks in the spring issue of Wisconsin Natural Resources magazine: https://lnkd.in/gaGCfdNE

🌊 The Herculean Effort to Boost American Shipbuilding 🚢 In a recent compelling episode of War on the Rocks' podcast "Congress at Sea," Sen. Mark Kelly from Arizona and Rep. Michael G. Waltz from Florida discuss their cross-party initiative to rejuvenate the U.S. shipbuilding industry and enhance our maritime strategy. Despite coming from vastly different backgrounds — a landlocked state and a coastal state — both leaders are uniting to push forward transformative policies that aim to strengthen America's naval capabilities and economic resilience. Their discussion with host Ryan Evans sheds light on the potential impacts of revitalizing this crucial sector and the strategic advantages it could bring on a global scale. This initiative is a prime example of how bipartisan cooperation can lead to significant national advancements. As professionals in the maritime, defense, and policy sectors, it's essential to engage with and support such efforts that aim to secure our national interests and promote industry growth. Let's dive deep into this conversation and explore how these developments might reshape our future!
