We’ve increased our stake in Bluewater by 17.5%, taking our ownership to 66.25%. We’ve been investing in Bluewater since 2014, building a platform where brands can flourish and creating memorable moments that attract guests and keep them coming back. This is the next step in that journey and forms part of our objective to grow our investment in major retail destinations, as we continue to focus on delivering long-term value for our brand partners and communities from our places with the highest potential. Some really useful insights from the panel. A big takeaway for me was to start by looking at what you are already doing (it’s probably more than you think) and framing communication around that without being afraid to be honest about what challenges you are facing and how you are tackling them

Congratulations to our Sustainability Manager, Environment & Operations Tatiana Schonhobel for being recognised by the Green Building Council of Australia as a Green Star Champion for 2024. Tatiana is part of a hand selected group across a wide range of industries in Australia who has helped to deliver a more sustainable built environment through the Green Star certification. We are proud of our track record in reducing our impact on the environment and continue to set new targets, including reducing energy intensity and water intensity by 10% across our managed portfolio and delivering an average 5 star NABERS Indoor Environment rating and a 4 star NABERS Waste rating across the group office portfolio by FY25. Looking beyond net zero, we will amplify our impact across our value chain in the line with our 1.5 degree decarbonisation journey and 2030 Science Based Target trajectories. As a RE100 signatory, we are also aiming to source 100% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030 across our managed portfolio. #ClimateAction #Sustainablity

Being an environmentally responsible company isn't just about big initiatives — it’s about our day-to-day actions, too. Whether it’s collecting batteries and other waste for proper recycling, or participating (and winning Gold!) in the commuter challenge, every action adds up to recognition as being one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for 2024. Great work by the whole team at Connexin, particularly by the SHEQ and Compliance Team to pull this together over the 12 months or so to highlight and evidence our commitment to be certified a “force for good”. No one’s perfect. Always things to improve on and be better at, but that just the continual improvement process any company should be following, however being independently audited is a strangely cathartic process that enables us to see how far we have come, where we stand and the path forward on the continual improvement cycle.
We are officially B Corp™ Certified.🌍 Following a rigorous social and environmental impact evaluation, Connexin now joins some of the most respected and loved brands globally, including Patagonia, Octopus Energy and Innocent. Read about the certification and how we are committed to making a positive impact below 👇 https://lnkd.in/gwcxMfGt
