Really interesting discussion about sustainability!
Today, we gathered our strategic partners working with us on our full flight simulators. During CAE's 2nd Annual #Supplier Forum, I had the privilege to speak about the importance of sustainability with our suppliers. The talented Samantha Golinski moderated our panel where I was joined by Amy Geisberger from Siemens Canada and Domien De Witte from Barco. In a nutshell, we all explained the importance of the tone at the top to advance on the sustainability journey and have the right mindset to think of carbon in all business decisions. We are committed to work with our partners to reduce our scope 3 carbon emissions. When it comes to decarbonizing value chains, we are all intertwined and must collaborate! #Sustainability is a key element to be more #ResilientTogether #sustainableaviation Photography by Julian Haber

Elevating Leadership for New Mobility | Partner "Mobility&Advisory Services" | Ex CEO and VP | Former Speaker World Economic Forum and House of Lords
🎙 Podcast with Prof. Markus Lienkamp - From Racing to Accelerating towards Autonomous Mobility I had the privilege of interviewing Markus Lienkamp from Technical University of Munich about the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League, 27th of April 2024, and its contributions and learnings for the future of autonomous mobility. His captivating account highlighted the challenges, teamwork, and success of this well-executed event by ASPIRE, fostering fair and exciting competition. Beyond the thrill of the race, Markus shared invaluable insights for the automotive industry's autonomous mobility journey: 👉 Embracing open-source code collaboration on the technical front 👉 Enhanced cross-industry cooperation over the whole value chain 👉 Higher public and private financial commitment Markus compellingly advocated for open innovation and partnerships to accelerate progress in this transformative field. His plea resonates: to realize safe and efficient Level 4 and 5 autonomous mobility, we must unite our efforts. 👍 Join me in thanking Markus for these thought-provoking perspectives that will undoubtedly propel us towards our shared vision of autonomous mobility on public roads making mobility more sustainable (electric and service oriented) and inclusive (transport opportunities for elderly, handicapped and children). #AutonomousMobility #A2RL #ASPIRE #OpenSource #SDV #IAC #Sustainability #TUM #Inclusiveness #ElectricMobility #4NewMobilityTalk #AutonomousRacing #Innovation #A2RL #ASPIREUAE https://lnkd.in/dK2cezaA

Hi Karl, seems you are in a joking mode today. Tritium is just a name of a company providing fast chargers for e-cars. Fusion-propelled cars will never exist, not even in Denmark 🤣 Regarding #nuclearfusion on Earth in general -- I don't quite share your #optimism. As you know as an astrophysicist, the universe has provided a lot of fascinating things we would have never considered possible, hadn't we observed them there. And I, as an astrophysicist, am not aware of any cosmic object which produces it's energy by plasma-controlled fusion. So again, mankind tries to do something which is not natural -- haven't we learned enough about such attempts in the past? But in fact I am very fond of nuclear fusion. Gravity controlled nuclear fusion, as it is ubiquitous in the universe. There we have a reactor in front of our door, just a 100 million miles away. A reactor which we believe will work safely for another 4 billion years, and which produces more energy than we can ever use. We call it 'Sun' -- let's use it!
Denmark ist one leap ahead of all others. It is already possible to charge fusion-propelled cars with Tritium. #mobility #nuclearfusion #future #optimism
