Direct and manage the operations of multiple properties to assure outstanding performance. Direct General Managers and Club Directors within their region to ensure seamless delivery of service, operational management, overall profitability and management of Homeowner Associations. Strategize to increase service levels improving guest, owner and team member satisfaction, executes and ensures compliance with overall HGV vision, quality assurance and brand standards. Deals comfortably with organizational politics, navigating complexities of the organization easily. Has a clear understanding of other groups' business priorities, working to develop collaborations to meet business goals. Uses knowledge of organizational culture to achieve objectives. Anticipates future trends and implications accurately. Builds driven and breakthrough strategies that show a clear connection between vision and action. Formulate a clear strategy and maps the aggressive steps that will clearly accelerate the organization toward its strategic goals. Articulate a vision which is compelling, encouraged, and relatable by all Show personal dedication to the vision through ones own actions and behavior Create milestones and symbols to rally support behind the vision and how to achieve it Develops positive organization-wide energy, with purpose and optimism for the future. Sets objectives to align with broader organizational goals. Breaks down objectives into appropriate actions, initiatives, milestones and schedule Focus on the highest priorities and sets aside less critical tasks. Anticipate potential obstacles and develops excellent contingency plans Display confidence under pressure, maintaining focus and composure in stressful situations Communicate effectively through crisis and high pressure situations. Reflecting on the profound impact of everyday interactions. Years ago, as a front desk manager at a newly opened resort, a simple act of kindness led to a life-changing moment. A woman with her infant son approached me, asking to see a guest room. Little did I know, she was the Associate Director in our company’s regional sales office, who would soon be returning to work from maternity leave. Since the resort had opened during her leave, she hadn't been able to attend the resort tours for her team. I felt compelled to give her a full tour, and we ended up spending over an hour exploring the resort together. Her gratitude was overwhelming at the end of our impromptu tour. Months later, after she had returned to work, she approached me at the desk. Remembering our earlier encounter, she thanked me again for the tour, but then asked me a surprising question: had I ever considered a career in group sales? That moment marked the beginning of an incredible journey. A short while later she became the Director of Sales in our regional sales office, and after working in that office as a Group Sales Manager for a few years, I advanced to Associate Director of Sales. Our office became a tight-knit team, many of whom I still call friends today. She remains my mentor, and though our paths diverged as we took on different leadership roles (and eventually we both chose to go back into individual contributor roles to focus more on our families), I will always cherish the years we worked together as some of the best in my career. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: you never know where your next interaction could take you. Thankful beyond words! I embarked on my journey at Trace restaurant in the W Hotel back in 2014 as a host. The onboarding experience was remarkably positive, and it marked the moment when I sensed a genuine connection with the hotel industry. Driven by a fervent desire for professional growth, I was determined to make a lasting impact. An opportunity materialized, leading to my transition to the role of a server, which I embraced wholeheartedly. Engaging with guests and ensuring their stays were not just pleasant but truly memorable became a source of genuine satisfaction. My approach was rooted in the principle of treating others as I'd like to be treated, adhering to the highest standards. After a fulfilling year in serving, I ventured into room service, discovering a newfound passion and an aspiration for leadership roles within the hotel industry. Serving as the In-Room Dining Room Supervisor brought me immense joy, as every moment felt purposeful. With an eye on my long-term goal of becoming a General Manager, I sought to broaden my expertise by transitioning to the front desk, a decision made during the challenges posed by the COVID era. Surprisingly, I found the role equally fulfilling and rapidly ascended the ranks, securing positions as Front Office Supervisor and subsequently Front Office Manager. The pinnacle of this journey arrived with an offer for the Front Office Manager position at Hotel Colee, a prospect I greeted with unbridled enthusiasm and readiness. Amidst my excitement and eagerness to advance in my career, a conversation about growth with my former HR director took an unexpected turn. She posed a question that had never crossed my mind: "Have you ever thought about being in HR?" Despite initial reservations about the role, I decided to give it a chance, aspiring to be the HR representative I would have appreciated. Little did I know, this leap into the realm of Human Resources would turn out to be the most rewarding career move of my life. Each day, I find myself reflecting with gratitude, amazed at the journey that has unfolded. If there's one lesson learned, it's that hard work and dedication to one's goals are unstoppable forces. Grateful for every step taken, and excited for what lies ahead. #feelinggrateful #blessedandthankful #keepgrowing
