OPINION: Out of every option of the careers we could of chosen, sales is not the most glamourous, most rewarding or the most fulfilling. But, damn it.. Its ours and we love it. So, the only way to become more successful than most of the other sales reps is to be willing to do something most other sales reps aren’t willing to do. Which at this moment is cold calling, emailing acknowledging clear problems and solutions. Take action and pick up that phone..

How do you determine if sales is the right career for you? 😤 Are you self-motivated and resilient? Sales can be tough, with rejection and difficult customers as common challenges. 🗣️ Do you enjoy building relationships and interacting with people? Success in sales is all about establishing connections and understanding your customer's pain and needs. ⭐ How passionate are you about the product or service you're selling? Believing in what you're selling makes it easier to sell authentically and persuasively. Are you willing to continuously learn and improve? Sales strategies and best practices constantly change, so staying adaptable and open to learning new strategies is a competitive advantage in this field. Here's the thing: just because you've been given an opportunity to work in sales or because you're currently in a sales role doesn't mean it's the right fit for you. Take some time to reflect on these questions and see if sales aligns with your strengths, values, and passions. https://lnkd.in/gvn5TZcb

Sales Thought for the Day: Sometimes I wonder if some people in sales positions are just the wrong person in the wrong job. They often seem as frustrated with their own lack of success as is their boss. Have you ever thought you might do better as a sales person? Have you ever thought you are not the sales person you thought you would be. Having trained thousands of sales people in my life I am now realizing many of those who were being trained may be so much more successful, if they found a way to work in a position that matched their personality. Does your job match your position?

What do I think matters the most for a sales man? STAYING POWER!!! If you take sales as a marathon, you would win. If you take it as a sprint, you will lose. It is often critical to stay the course. An average prospect always becomes far more valuable with the passage of time. An "elusive deal" usually happens with better value in the long run. A customer who was a pain in the ass would sometimes become your saving grace when they get go another company. Are you in sales for the short term or the long run? The answer will tell how your sales career would be.

Job Search is Sales. On avg a Sales Rep might reach out to 100s of new people per day. Sales requires a ton of outreach to new people to find the right people. Don’t get discouraged if people don’t reply, go find new people to contact. Be your own Sales Rep. Have a script. Don’t wing it by clicking Apply to 100 applications thinking you did your job. Sales doesn’t work like that, neither does the job search.
