I design intentional, classy, and beautiful communications and assets to break through the noise and get your story told.

As a former event planner, I agree! Every single event has unexpected challenges that arise. Hopefully, you are prepared for all the small things so you have time, resources, and capacity to handle the unexpected. The goal is always to do so in a way that your guests will never have the slightest hint that something is amiss. I once had 100 extra guests show up to an event, which rarely happens. Any event planner will tell you to anticipate a 20% no-show rate. The opposite happened as more and more guests arrived and chairs and food needed to suddenly appear without anyone noticing. I've never been more stressed, yet I couldn't show it. At the end of the day, no one knew that we were scrambling in the background to accommodate the unexpected, the event was a huge success, and guests left happy, comfortable, and excited...and that is the goal! Event planning is not for the faint at heart. It takes detailed organization, problem-solving, excellent customer service skills, and creativity. But it is a field where you can burn out after a few years as it is very physically and mentally demanding. So, if you stumble across a former event planner looking to make a career shift...HIRE THEM IMMEDIATELY. You won't be disappointed. Their experience and skill sets translate to so many other valuable roles.
