Act with audacity
Raise your glass! 🥂 Especially if it's fizzing with Veuve Clicquot. Meet Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, a French widow who took over her father-in-law's champagne company from the brink of bankruptcy, and turned it into the second-highest selling brand of #champagne in the world. She was a marketing genius and a brilliant inventor who developed the process to clarify champagne after fermentation called riddling—an industry standard that is used to this day. During a time when women had very few rights, Ponsardin grew #VeuveClicquot, creating the modern champagne industry in the process: “The world is in perpetual motion, and we must invent the things of tomorrow. One must go before others, be determined and exacting, and let your intelligence direct your life. Act with audacity.” 💥 As we head in to 2024, we raise a glass to the Grande Dame of Champagne. Happy New Year!
