🐮 🐮🐮 👶 Well that soon escalated 🤣🤣 Nope - Lucinda or Brontë haven’t had a baby, instead we bought another cow who has just had a baby!! 🤣🫣 Meet Annie and her new baby Walter 🥰🥰 I think I might be winning my argument to keep Lucinda - and in a few months send her off to meet a friendly Hereford bull, along with Annie who can also get preggers again too! Orrrr, I can wait a bit longer to get Annie preggers again & Lucinda pregs for the first time ... Couple of thoughts : 💡 The longer you leave it for getting a cow pregnant for the first time, the less likely of her actually getting pregnant. Yes, she’s obvs getting older, but apparently even at a tender 2 years old, she’s still ‘getting on’ 😬 💡 Finding a bull can be tricky. Many pedigree herds will be ‘closed’ herds which means they don’t let outside cattle into their herd. It’s good for managing bio-security, so it’s less risk for them.
