Physicians and health practitioners cannot be the only ones impacting their communities for global health to improve. There are many other professionals who can equally contribute to the development of our common wellbeing. If you know of someone interested in global health and being a force for good but in an “unrelated” professional field, it may be that they are not to far off! Share this post with them! The Master of Science in Global Health may be what they need to find their calling. #forceforgood

We are hearing more and more about the crisis at the Polish National Health Fund. Public health care systems in many countries are overstretched, yet a healthy population depends on success in other fields. How much are we losing as economies, and simply as people, from starving such an important part of our public services. The COVID-19 pandemic made us realize how much depends on our health. Have we learned our lesson? Are we heading for a head-on collision with the health crisis? At Patient Europe, we understand that health is key. We are fighting for a healthier society and the sensitivity of decision-makers to the threat of COVID and other infectious diseases in particular, but also for strong public health care. On November 16-17 in 2023, we organized the 'Policy and Values' Conference in Warsaw, during which we gathered all the key issues that our Association addresses. We subjected these issues to various aspects of panel discussions. We present recording of panel from this conference. https://lnkd.in/dKm7jdhY Prof Nisreen A Alwan MBE – MBE, professor of Public Health at the University of Southampton 🏥 David Steadson – University of Queensland 🎓 Maria Libura – Head of the Department of Medical Education and Simulation at the Collegium Medicum of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn 🩺 Polska Sieć Ekonomii Cervantée Wild – Girdlers’ New Zealand Health Research Council Fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford 🌱 Krzysztof Mroczkowski – Board member of Europe, a Patient 💼
