💖 One way to raise compassionate, empathetic, and socially responsible children is to encourage and support their passion for change, no matter how young they are. Children are naturally curious, kind, and creative, and when you empower them to turn their ideas into action, you give them the tools to become changemakers in their own right. Whether it's through volunteering, fundraising, advocacy, or simply being kind to others, you can make service and kindness a cornerstone of your family's values and build a better world together. Here are actions you can take to get started: https://lnkd.in/ggt_vmZz

April 14-20 is National Volunteer Week. I have volunteered as long as I can remember, along side my Mom & Grandma. In turn, my daughter was volunteering beside my Mom & I by the time she was 3. Being a volunteer helps: - Make our Communities better - Helps build relationships/friendships - Helps build skills - Helps you do jobs you wouldn’t normally have access to doing So my question is this: How do you volunteer? What other items would you add to my list?

Everyone, meet Claire – the Foundation’s Appeals & Campaigns Coordinator 💜 Here’s a little about Claire in her own words: 💜What’s your name and job title? Claire (she/her), Appeals & Campaigns Coordinator. 💜How long have you been at the Foundation? I’ve been at the Foundation for a year and nearly three months now. 💜Tell us what you do in one sentence. I help in creating campaigns such as the Richmond Football Club match day and Alannah & Madeline Day, communicating with donors and trying to raise more funds to keep children and young people safe from violence. 💜What do you love about your work? What I love about my work is that every day is different. I love communicating with donors. And just waking up and knowing I can actually impact – even if it’s indirectly – the lives of children and young people. It’s really powerful and a great motivation. 💜What made you happy as a child? As a child, I grew up with a huge family. I feel really lucky about having that.
