💖 One way to raise compassionate, empathetic, and socially responsible children is to encourage and support their passion for change, no matter how young they are. Children are naturally curious, kind, and creative, and when you empower them to turn their ideas into action, you give them the tools to become changemakers in their own right. Whether it's through volunteering, fundraising, advocacy, or simply being kind to others, you can make service and kindness a cornerstone of your family's values and build a better world together. Here are actions you can take to get started: https://lnkd.in/ggt_vmZz

In turn, it benefits children, families, and communities. If you’re a leader of a nonprofit it’s likely that you are feeling overwhelmed. So when Suzanne Strassberger and I come to you with a request to make sure the voices of your clients and communities are heard loud and clear in November, we are well aware of how much is already on your plates. But we also believe that our democracy and much of the work you do is at stake this year. In this blog post, we’ve laid out some simple steps you can take as a nonprofit to promote voting. We even give a hat tip to Taylor Swift. Take a look and let us know if we can help. #nonprofits. #democracy #votingrights

Social content takes time, resources and planning. Sometimes the window from planning to execution is short to capitalize on a news cycle, an event or a digital trend. I want to recognize my frequent content collaborators for always exceeding my expectations to tell Williams story. Susan Wright Simpson, Kelly Cook, Sarah Gilpin, Dawson Smith and Jonathan Ainley. I will include a few of my recent favorites in the comments below. https://lnkd.in/gSbJzeU8

On September 17, The Generosity Commission will release its capstone report, "Everyday Actions, Extraordinary Potential: The Power of Giving and Volunteering." This comprehensive analysis delves into America's evolving generosity landscape and emphasizes the critical need to protect and nurture this powerful force for good. Love your eye ❤️ Ainak is a Silicon Valley nonprofit, in providing free eye exams and prescription eyeglasses to the under-resourced children in California. Ainak's mission is a powerful commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in their educational journey due to the financial constraints of their parents or guardians in affording proper eye care. We believe in providing every child with the opportunity to achieve a 20/20 vision, recognizing that this not only supports their academic success but also cultivates the confidence necessary for them to thrive in life and pursue their dreams. The statistics further underscore the urgency and significance of our mission. A staggering 62 million Americans lack access to essential eye care and eyeglasses, creating a substantial gap in addressing visual health needs. Equally concerning is the fact that over 300,000 children commence their school year each September with vision impairment, underscoring the critical nature of our work. Alarming is the diagnosis of vision impairment in 1 in 3 preschool-aged children. This statistic emphasizes the crucial role Ainak plays in intervening at an early age to prevent not only immediate hindrances to learning but also to avert potentially severe eye health problems as these children mature.
